Le Tamarin sur Gruissan

Let's be objective: fresh fries and well-cooked food, a slightly long wait of about 25 minutes, a fish that was undercooked, decent fish and chips, the scallops were okay, but the vegetables lacked flavor.

From the moment we arrived until the bill arrived, everything went very smoothly. There was no waiting, and the organization was excellent. The attendant took our order, then we waited, and finally, another person came to collect payment—everyone had their role, which eliminated any waiting. The meal was very good (mussels + children's menu). We enjoyed an aperitif with a well-seasoned spread. The staff were very friendly!

A very good experience at Le Tamarin in Gruissan. We had a lovely time at this restaurant, ideally located on the port. The setting is truly charming, with a terrace that allows you to fully enjoy the atmosphere of Gruissan. We appreciated the warm welcome, the service, and especially the quality of the meal. The dishes were delicious, generous, and beautifully presented, with cuisine that perfectly captures the spirit of a Mediterranean seaside resort. I see some reviews that are a bit harsh on the staff. Let's be understanding: they are young servers, and in the middle of summer, it's peak season with many customers. We should also acknowledge the effort they put in under these conditions. The set menus offered are also reasonably priced and suitable for a holiday budget in this beautiful seaside resort. A pleasant place for lunch or dinner, especially to enjoy the port atmosphere from the terrace. A great place that we enjoyed and are happy to recommend.

Very pleasant, friendly and responsive waiter. We had pizza, fish and chips, a galette (savory buckwheat crepe), and mussels and fries. A very good meal. Highly recommended!

We were very well received with a smile, the team was attentive and very observant to ensure nothing was missing, and the service was quick – truly top-notch.

We come every summer and always enjoy this restaurant. The seafood is very fresh and delicious. The fish is fresh and cooked to perfection. Yesterday I tried the pan-seared liver and it was wonderful. The tagliatelle with two types of salmon is delicious, with plenty of salmon and cream. The children loved the chicken burger. Not to mention the excellent scallops, which are not easy to cook and can quickly become rubbery. I don't understand the people who leave bad reviews about the food. To those who criticize the waiters and waitresses, I invite them to try working a season in a busy restaurant; they often have to be young people for their first season, and everyone has to start somewhere. In any case, we found them very pleasant and smiling. The wait can be long, it's true, but given how busy it is, that's understandable. If people are in a hurry, even on vacation, go eat somewhere else! In any case, well done and thank you to the whole team! See you next year! ☺️

The restaurant was full, but the young servers were very efficient. We were welcomed quickly despite the crowd and served promptly. Good value for money; we ate well!
