Le Tandem sur Santes

Excellent food, top-notch service! A relaxed and friendly atmosphere!! Pure bliss 🌞🌞🌞

We recently dined at Le Tandem restaurant, and our experience was unfortunately mixed. The initial welcome seemed rather cold. After ordering drinks for the children, we noticed that the juice cartons were dated 11/2025. When I pointed this out to the waitress, her response was, "It's not a problem, it's an 'use by' date." While it might technically be edible, in a professional setting—and especially for children—this type of response is not very reassuring. On the other hand, the chef came around to each table with a big smile and was very pleasant, which is worth mentioning. Regarding the food: • The children's menus were the same price, but with different portion sizes: • two slices of ham for the 10-year-old • only one for the 5-year-old • the same for the ice cream scoop, smaller for the younger child. Even if the intention is perhaps to adjust the portion sizes, when the price is the same, it seems inconsistent. • The Flemish carbonnade was quite fatty. • The horse steak was very good, but the side dish (mashed potatoes that seemed frozen) was disappointing. On the plus side: the desserts were very good, especially the crème brûlée and the nougat glacé. In summary: the food was decent, but several details in the service and the consistency of the dishes disappointed us.

Excellent food, charming restaurant

Good value for money. Pleasant setting. Refined cuisine. Excellent sweetbreads. All four of us were very satisfied.

A mixed review, a pleasant welcome, decent food, but placed near the restrooms, we fully benefited from the rose deodorant, a seat without the slightest natural light. Table for four, two facing the dining room and the back windows, two others with a view of the access to the restrooms. The food is good, but the fries are thin and crispy, oven-fried type, not at all sure if they are fresh fries as we were told. The sauce is good, the chef is friendly and visits the dining room and each table. I might come back for the food, but certainly not for the environment and the setting.
