Le Temps des Paysans sur Paris

It had been a while since I'd been to Rooster. Lunch by myself, a set menu for €42. The catch of the day: perfectly cooked albacore tuna with a delicious sauce, accompanied by a modern take on pistou. It was very good and subtly but distinctly reminiscent of traditional pistou. The dessert was a light mirabelle plum. Perfect and efficient service.

It's always a great pleasure to be welcomed at Rooster! The food is delicious, delightful, and always leaves you wanting more! For years, the chef has been innovating with every meal, creating a world of surprising flavors and unexpected dishes with a Southern flair. I highly recommend it! Excellent place! We had a wonderful meal; the dishes were delicious. The service was particularly attentive, and we received excellent advice, especially regarding wine selection. Very friendly and professional. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!

One of my favorite restaurants in Paris!

25 august 2026, my mother and I had a lovely lunch provance style. The chef from Marseille, or so I read, has a magic touch with vegetables. His red pepper puree sauce brought the best out of the salad. I remember that Tartar steak was much loved in Cannes and other Southern France cities, thus the chef's signture veal tartare was duely fantastic. The fish of the day or season was Rouget which happened to be my mother's favorite and she praised that it was perfectly cooked. On side, we tried Pasine or fried bean cake Marseille style, which was surprisingly tasty and went well with wine. The recommended wine was so good I wish I had written down the name. The ladies were all attentive and kind.
