Le Transatlantique sur Jard-Sur-Mer

Between friends and passing through Jard sur Mer, we stopped at Le Transat and did not regret our entry into the restaurant. Welcomed by the very friendly Frédéric who sat us down facing the sea, the decor could not have been more unexpected. The cooked dishes are deliciously excellent. The sea sauerkraut is a real delight (well done to the chef!), although we were full, we were unfortunately not able to taste the sweet sea sauerkraut (recommended by Yen 😉🤣), we fell back on the gourmet coffee which was also a delight. A big thank you to the entire Transat team for their sympathy, their complicity and lots of laughs. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant both for their “home made” cuisine and for their kindness. Dear Yen and dear Frédéric, prepare the mussels and fries and the sweet sea sauerkraut, we'll be back on the terrace next year & don't forget the UFO box!!🤣🤣🤣 See you soon 😉

Simple et efficace dans l’assiette. Service un peu long pour un jour où il n’y avait pas grand monde. Accueil, un peu froid.

A little wait between ordering food and service. However, the dishes are varied, plentiful and well presented. Although we didn't have too many people during our visit, the waiter (or boss?) seemed a little stressed and a little hasty when taking orders. The dishes are good value for money with a lovely view of the port of Jard-sur-Mer.

Dommage que le serveur au tablier soit désagréable voir condescendant.! Accueil stressant,table demandée gentiment à la réservation donnée à d’autres clients. Bon allez pas grave,avec humour je me permets de lui dire …j’attends toujours une réponse,botte en touche! Ouf Yen vient à notre encontre,toujours aussi charmante. Actuellement je conçois qu’il est très difficile de trouver du personnel,mais au vu des commentaires lus(je ne suis pas la seule)ce serveur fait fuir les habitués et les nouveaux clients potentiels . Le propriétaire est très gentil et attentionné,mais derrière le bar et à l’encaissement,Mr si vous lisez ceci je vous en prie changez le serveur à l’accueil !!! Bref repas correct,bémol sur les légumes croquants nageant dans l’eau… Néanmoins je reviendrai pour le patron Yen et les jeunes serveurs !

Arrived without an appointment in the evening out of season in mid-September, there was no crowd. The waitress was friendly but when another server took the order, it was necessary to take the “aperitif and main course” order. I asked him to wait a little while he thought. After the aperitif service I made my decision and I asked him for a plate between land and sea and he included a board for the aperitif. Arrived with the wrong order, his comments and skills were not very sensitive. And for this evening we were accompanied by a swarm of flies and I think that is what was the most unpleasant of this evening with our guests. Very disappointed with this establishment. Too bad, given the other comments it shouldn't have been our day.

Le Transat is not one of those seaside restaurants where you have "the view" but the absence of quality on the plate. Efficient service, good products nicely presented. And their white butter also deserves 5 stars...

Pleasant setting, excellent meal. The chef is unpleasant and haughty but the waiters are top notch.

Mussels we ordered were very small and overcooked, the first and last time for us. At le Transat.
