Le Troll sur La Rochelle

On Tuesday, I walked past the bar and heard some nice music... I continued my "shopping" with my 19-year-old daughter... a downpour... we walked past the bar again... we stopped... great "rock" music, we ordered a cocktail... the Sex on the Beach... friendly service, the waiter or owner was super nice, and the music was even better!!! Anyway, I live on Oleron. I didn't know about this place, but I imagine it must be quite lively in the evenings 😂 It was 4 pm and we were taking the boat back to Oleron... have a great evening to the person who made us the delicious cocktail!!! I forgot to mention... the restrooms 😂 the girls' area has great decor! 😂 Kisses to the team

Excellent friendly spot, popular with locals.

There was a wait despite the low number of customers. The waitress felt the platters were too large because customers weren't finishing them. We felt the quality of the food wasn't good enough to finish. To each their own.

Very good beer and excellent charcuterie board with roasted Camembert. Very reasonable price too. Quiet atmosphere when we were there.

Had a nice couple of Saturday afternoon pints here and had a lovely experience. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and great choice of drinks.

My partner and I regularly visit La Rochelle and have walked past this pub several times. It caught our eye with its selection of beers (we're beer enthusiasts). We received a very warm welcome, with excellent beer recommendations, and they even let us taste before we ordered. The beer platter was fantastic value for money 👌 – so far, the best we've had in La Rochelle in a long time. We highly recommend this place!

Lost the semi-final, But great service, delicious and generous platters, and a good selection of beers. Excellent value for money.
