I found the dishes to be very good, prepared with quality ingredients, which allows them to present simple things with great, refined taste.
I have very fond memories of it personally. The staff is also attentive.

Overall, a positive experience. This restaurant is very well located, the cuisine is home-style, and the owner is very jovial. However, the advertising is mainly based on the eels. It's important to know that eels are scarce, or at least very rare, in the Vendée or Poitou-Charentes regions. And certainly not enough to supply restaurants. The eel we had for lunch was a decent size, fricasseed, but paradoxically a bit dry and very greasy, without the flavor we had hoped for. Perhaps it was prepared in advance and reheated at the last minute. The accompanying potatoes weren't cooked enough... a small but significant drawback. This restaurant is far from extraordinary; its reputation is already established.

We've had lunch at this restaurant several times. The welcome is incredibly warm. The food is delicious. Kudos to Michel and his daughter; it's always a real pleasure to stop by for a drink or lunch. Don't hesitate, you'll enjoy local specialties that are a true delight for the taste buds.
