22/04/2026: Yoko's food and experience was perfect. I heard from my Japanese friends in Nice about how great Yoko is that I came from Nice to enjoy....and it was a beautiful lunch. This is a real Japanese restaurant with exceptional quality food. Go and enjoy
29/03/2026: You enter here without being dazzled. The dining room, stripped to its bare essentials, clearly makes no attempt to seduce. No lanterns, no lacquered wood, no Japanese clichés. Nothing to hint at what's happening in the kitchen. And yet.
Behind this almost austere decor, a French chef—assisted by his Japanese wife, whose precise and discreet service evokes the customs of the archipelago—creates cuisine of unexpected rigor.
The ingredients are fresh, the techniques masterful, the dishes conceived with a meticulousness that contrasts with the simplicity of the setting.
First, the tonkatsu: impeccable breading, perfectly crisp, juicy meat. A starter that sets the tone. Then, the goma udon: a delicately vinegared sesame broth, perfectly cooked noodles, a balance of flavors that testifies to true expertise. The trio of ice creams—green tea, sesame, and yuzu—concludes the meal with a fragrant simplicity, without a single false note. A glass of Ume Shu accompanies the meal, a light plum liqueur, dangerously easy to drink. We leave with the feeling of having discovered a simple place that does things right, cleanly and sincerely. A restaurant that doesn't try to be flashy, but masters the essentials: flavor.
