Le Vieux Colombier sur Sarzeau

I just had dinner at Le Vieux Colombier in Sarzeau. I enjoyed several dishes, each one a renewed pleasure: every amuse-bouche, main course, and side dish reveals not only a great imagination in the combination of ingredients, but also offers the diner the opportunity to discover new flavors, each more enticing than the last, and truly delighting the palate. Each vegetable has its flavor enhanced tenfold, both by the quality of its cooking and by its refined and perfectly balanced seasoning. A whirlwind of pleasure! And all this in a wonderful atmosphere thanks to a welcoming and friendly team. So yes, of course, the chef is also my son, and you don't have to take my word for it… But what a shame it would be if you didn't share in this whirlwind of discoveries and culinary delights! As for the pride of being his father, allow me to keep that to myself…

Delicious, authentically French cuisine featuring excellent local produce, both from the land and the sea. It's wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed the St. Jacques menu and the Gourmet menu (although the latter was a touch too salty). The desserts are worthy of a true pastry chef, as beautiful as they are delicious. The decor is brand new and inviting. Bravo!

Exceptional cuisine! Refined and original dishes with subtle flavors! A delight for the taste buds!! However, the decor of the first room needs improvement; it's very cold, soulless, and not cozy at all... Add some wood paneling to the walls and a few candles to warm up the atmosphere 😃
