A very pleasant hotel with excellent staff. The ambiance of the candlelit dinner in the restaurant is magnificent, and the food is superb. We will definitely return on our next visit to the region.

We spent two nights in this charming, unique little hotel. It's a very welcoming place, and the warm and friendly staff contributes greatly to that. The small, unpretentious room offers all the necessary comforts. It's very well located for visiting the local castles or going to Beauval Zoo. We also had the opportunity to experience the candlelight dinner on Saturday, a truly magical moment with attentive waitresses dressed in traditional Sologne attire. We arrived at the hotel one evening for a business trip. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, showing us to our very clean room, which met our expectations. We then went down to the restaurant for dinner. Upon arrival, the menu suggested good, well-prepared dishes, but the prices were quite high considering the location and setting. This initial impression was confirmed when the plates arrived. They were tasty and fairly generous, but bland, poorly presented, and, in my opinion, not refined enough for such a high price. Because, yes, at €33 for the starter and main course, we expected well-prepared and flavorful dishes, not just plain, watery tagliatelle to accompany dry venison. The fish was good, as was the sauce; however, the mashed potatoes were very, very dry, and the vegetables mixed with semolina, served haphazardly, again demonstrated a lack of effort and were simply piled on the plate. My friend ordered a tarte tatin for dessert, which was quite decent overall. The pastry was rather overcooked, perhaps even a bit too much, especially considering the price. In short, this restaurant is perfectly acceptable; the only problem is the quality of the food compared to the price.

We did not stay in the hotel but we had dinner and it was exceptional! Even though I’ve been in France only 12 yrs, I know this was a very traditional cuisine, as if grandma was cooking. I will never forget the tastes in my mouth. Service was great and prices are very reasonable. We would’ve ate there again the next night but it was closed. Highly recommend.

Competing in Open and French-style trials with our Golden Retrievers. We stayed in the caravan, an unusual, spacious, quiet, and secluded accommodation—perfect for safely walking the dogs. The welcome, service, meals, and amenities were top-notch.

We stayed there the weekend of November 9th-10th. Regarding check-in, I think they did the best they could, as we were told over the phone how to access our room, which was unlocked for the occasion, and the key was inside. Nevertheless, the room was clean, and the bedding was excellent and comfortable. The heating could be adjusted. The only downside was the absence (or perhaps we didn't notice) of a fan heater in the bathroom to regulate the shower temperature. Breakfast was quite good, but there was a lack of clear instructions and follow-up on-site; many guests (ourselves included) were confused about what to do with their trays at the end. Nevertheless, the staff was friendly, and we had a good night's sleep.

I can't rate the rooms because my wife and I had lunch there. The decor was very rustic but very well laid out. As for the food, it was excellent; the staff were dressed in traditional regional attire, and we had a wonderful time.

Absolutely delicious, I highly recommend it for its food.
