Le Village sur Saint-Chinian

Endlich ist dieses Restaurant wieder regelmäßig geöffnet - auch jetzt, außerhalb der Saison. Neue Wirtsleute, die ihr Fach verstehen und mit Engagement für die Gäste wirken. Der Koch kann sich hier richtig entfalten und tut das mit Erfolg. Die Karte ist übersichtlich, nicht zu anspruchsvoll, und das, was angeboten wird, schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Der Wirt kennt die Weine der Region und empfiehlt sie gerne. Insbesondere die Rotweine von Saint Chinian können sich mit jeder anderen Herkunft, sei es Bordeaux oder Burgund, auf Augenhöhe vergleichen lassen. Der Service ist persönlich und freundlich. Die Preise sind günstig.

New owner, new opportunity. And it certainly is. Yesterday we had a 3-course menu with a special starter of tomatoes prepared in different ways with a scoop of tomato ice cream (very special) and mozzarella. The Magret de Canard was sublimely fried, flanked by deliciously seasoned fried potato wedges and zucchini. The coffee Gourmand as you often get with various desserts. The red wine (Berlou Royale) was asked if we wanted it cold or unchilled. Service very attentive and caring with careful explanations about the dishes. The location, well you are next to the road and have to deal with heavy traffic every now and then, but it is manageable. We went home completely satisfied.

New friendly owners. Very good octopus carpaccio and excellent olive oil. Very good steak. Small minus for the knives which don't cut very well for meat but it deserves 5 stars all the same!

Good food, a bit limited in choice. No salt and pepper on the table. Very economical with glasses. Chaotic operation. Good wine, which, unlike the previous owner, is not too expensive. Menu on tablet is modern but not very useful. Better on paper.

De nouveaux propriétaire sympathiques et professionnels. Un repas de qualité pour un prix raisonnable. Bien que non loin de la route, la petite terrasse calme est à l'abris d'un monument historique, elle est bien agréable. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter. Sylvie et Georges de Cebazan.

Tonight we ate on the romantic outdoor terrace between the oleanders against the wall of the church. The tuna and steak were delicious and the service was very friendly. The new owners (since 1 month) are doing everything they can to make this a gem of a restaurant.

Very good experience! The most friendly welcome, no order errors which is becoming rare, fast but attentive service, and excellent cuisine. I recommend without hesitation 👍🏻
