We had an exceptional meal at the Vivier to celebrate my birthday. We received a very warm reception and everyone was attentive during the dinner. We chose the menu du Vivier all around seasonal products: foie gras - delicious-, deer -very tender and amazing sauce, we took the cheese special with a generous portions of truffle shavings and the dessert around raspberry and pistachio. We enjoyed every bite of the meal as well as the wine. The sommelier is very knowledgable and provided good recommendations for the meal. It is definitely the best and most romantic restaurant in town, with excellent value for money.

The best far beyond the borders of l isle sur la Sorgue. Still great. Kitchen at a high level. The star is still justified. Wine list top. And we even saw the beaver. Thank you for the great experience. We'll be back.

Located on the banks of the Sorgues, this restaurant draws on the city's reputation. An optimization of the terrace means that the space between the tables is very limited, and hampers the service. The latter is quick, to the detriment of the heat of dishes usually served lukewarm. A slightly high addition for value for money that could be improved.

Very tasty Michelin star restaurant located on the side of a small river.
FOOD
-octopus was visually pleasing with many colors in the plate. It was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing in the tarte. A very special starter which I enjoyed every bite of.
-the duck main was extremely tasty. We did three Michelin restaurants in 3 days with 3 ducks and this was the best one we had.
-the dorade was good, less wow but the sauce with it was delicious.
-i enjoyed the fact you can go tasting menu or A La Carte which gives you flexibility
-my only criticism is that the menu is quite small
STAFF/SERVICE
Bottom-line: I didn’t feel like a valued customer. Perhaps it’s because they have too many tables, perhaps it’s because staff don’t care enough but it felt like the bare minimum was done. I’d expect more personalised service for a Michelin star restaurant. Every time I asked for more water or more olive oil, it took quite some time to arrive, if it even arrived as the waiters sometimes forgot. Staff spoke good English though and I liked their casual attire, smart but white trainers which was cool.
ATMOSPHERE
Quite romantic as it’s dark on the terrace in the evening. It can get noisy depending where you are sat. Clearly the nicest tables are on the river bank.
CONCLUSION: great food, beautiful restaurant but service needs to be a little more Michelin worthy

Pleasant welcome.
A pretty table with white tablecloth. Particular attention to the dishes. Made to measure.
Terrace with a view of the Sorgue. Little background music and the sound of water. Relaxing.
Courteous and fast service. Professional.
Emotion menu in several services. Obviously it’s fresh and very good. Lovely associations, some conventional, others more surprising. It's subtle. Graphic and textured dishes. Without a false note.
Coherent explanations on food/wine pairing.

Tasty cuisine (from appetizers to sweet treats including 6 dishes, difficult to find 1 less good than the others!), excellent wines for all budgets, discreet, friendly and efficient service. Very pleasant setting (terrace). To have a great time. In the end, very good value for money. A very very good star.

We had a very enjoyable dinner at the Vivier, food as usual was excellent, we took the Menu Vivier which is very reasonably priced given the quality of the products. Everything is fresh and prepared with a twist without being pretentious. We also had the flexibility of choosing a dessert outside of the menu which was excellent and light.. We sat on the terrace and it is always a delight to be next to the Sorgue on a summer evening. Definitely the place to go.
