A small storefront that you could easily walk past without realizing it's a good restaurant with fresh produce, however, the portions are too small; my sea bream with candied root vegetables, the side dishes serving more as decoration, was a bit of a letdown.

Excellent value for money. The food was beautifully prepared (the scallops and fish were perfectly cooked). Delicious homemade dishes. You don't leave feeling too full, yet the plates are beautifully presented and generously filled! I will definitely be back.

Our first time dining at this restaurant. Upon arrival, we had a slight worry and were seated in the first room, a little concerned about being cold as it was so close to the door! But the curtain did its job. And in the end, I think we were more comfortable than in the larger, slightly noisier room. We all opted for the wine-inclusive menu, which includes half a bottle. The staff were polite and smiling—in short, pleasant! They kept a watchful eye on the table, discreetly removing anything no longer needed, like cocktail glasses, bread, etc. As for the food, no one was disappointed; we all ordered fish (sea bream/turbot). The cooking was perfect, though mine might have been a touch undercooked. The starter and dessert delighted everyone. If I had one complaint, it would be the rather meager side dishes.

My favorite restaurant in Saint Germain en Laye. We go there often and are never disappointed. We went a few weeks ago, and the food is still exceptional (and I'm the daughter of a chef, so I'm quite demanding). The menus are well-balanced and varied, the ingredients are excellent and fresh, the sauces are divine, and the vegetables are delicious and cooked with care. Thank you so much, it's a delight every time. The service is professional and efficient. I can't wait to go back. Just remember to make a reservation, especially on weekends.

What a wonderful time. Flawless from start to finish, there were 15 of us... Thomas the chef and Delphine, his sister (the person responsible for our comfort and happiness) ensured the meat was perfectly cooked in various ways, the wines were of the highest quality, and the service was discreet and ultra-efficient...like I've rarely seen. Delphine was extremely easy to organize. A huge thank you to the entire team for your kindness, your cooking skills, and your smiles.

excellent citchen, wines and service, I visit 1-2 times a year for the last 8 years. And the excellent level of value for money is truely consistent. Authentic warmth of service, can maybe perceived as efficient, but I like it as it is.

13/09/2024: We just returned from our second stay at Maison du Val, and once again, it was absolutely amazing—we didn’t want to leave! It’s such a perfect escape from the city, and the best part is that it’s so easy to get to from central Paris. Just a quick ride on the RER A, and within an hour you’re surrounded by the most stunning grounds, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The setting is absolutely breathtaking. The lush greenery and beautiful landscape make you feel like you’re in the countryside, even though Paris is so close by. Whether you’re exploring the grounds or just relaxing, it’s a stunning place to unwind. One of the highlights for us was the Sunday brunch—it’s simply incredible! The variety and quality of the food were top-notch, and it really felt like a special experience. We could’ve stayed at the table for hours just enjoying the delicious offerings. For families, Maison du Val is a dream. The kids’ club and activities kept our little ones entertained the whole weekend. They had a blast with all the fun things to do, and it gave us adults some much-needed downtime to enjoy the other amenities. Speaking of which, there’s so much to do! The game rooms, cinema, and Nordic bath were huge hits for us, and all these free facilities really make the stay interesting and packed with activities. Whether you want to relax or keep busy, there’s something for everyone. As for the rooms, they’re not overly luxurious, but they’re comfortable and have everything you need for a relaxing stay. Given all the other amazing aspects of the hotel, the rooms were perfectly fine for us. All in all, Maison du Val continues to be one of our favorite weekend getaways. We can’t wait to return again and enjoy everything it has to offer! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat close to Paris.

La Cantine de Marius

15/08/2024: J'ai découvert cet établissement via du bouche à oreilles mais j'avoue que je ne l'avais jamais remarqué avant. Il se situe en face du château, mais légèrement en retrait de la grande rue et un peu dissimulé derrière les grands arbres de la petite place. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une petite table sous les arbres, c'était trop agréable, au calme à côté d'un olivier. Ca sentait bon les vacances! Le service est pro, rien à dire, on sent la passion du métier! Les plats sont inspirés de la cuisine corse. Un petit rosé corse, tentacules d'encornet au piment d'Espelette à la purée de maïs très surprenante, suivi d'une nage d'agrumes à la citronnelle pour moi. Tout était très bon, fin, bien présenté comme j'aime. Et la nage d'agrumes était sensationnelle en saveurs, bravo! Une très bonne adresse à St Ger, qui se démarque clairement des restaurants autour trop banals et sans effort (pardon pour eux..)
28/07/2024: Excellent Corsican restaurant, excellent food, excellent hospitality. Simply highly recommended. A must! Dined in again, it is still marvelous! All food in the menu is great, just tasty. The atmosphere is also excellent, and the service is absolutely top!
