Everything was wonderful! The best restaurant in Saint Germain, lots of finesse in the dishes and a beautiful wine list. Lunch today with the FOMBEUR who share our opinion…please continue as long as possible! Isabelle and Nicolas The DROGOU and the FOMBEUR 😋

Great disappointment during my last experience Reception and cold service, without much professionalism for a so-called gourmet restaurant Price too expensive for dishes offered very little sauce, very few vegetables and accompaniments in short not copious at all and ordinary and all this for 70 euros per person!!!!! Not sure I'll go back

Nice atmosphere, service and food for the dinner. We had party of 9 and enjoyed various dishes from specialties, like risotto on the photo, to steak. Wine list ok for France.

Les plats sont au top, rien à dire : la qualité est là, belle expérience gustative. Le service quant à lui laisse vraiment à désirer : assiettes servies brutalement sur la table, les verres remplis tellement vite que le vin est à deux doigts de ressortir du verre. Un service sec et brutal, qui en dressant le plat à suivre vous heurte l'épaule, plus digne d'un bistrot parisien que d'un gastro. Comme dirait un vieux dicton, en restauration ”l'emballage doit être à la hauteur du contenu.". Dommage.

13/12/2024: L'endroit parfait pour un déjeuner entre amis à son rythme dans un cadre serein, aéré et luxueux. Nous reviendrons aux beaux jours, pour profiter des extérieurs.
13/09/2024: We just returned from our second stay at Maison du Val, and once again, it was absolutely amazing—we didn’t want to leave! It’s such a perfect escape from the city, and the best part is that it’s so easy to get to from central Paris. Just a quick ride on the RER A, and within an hour you’re surrounded by the most stunning grounds, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The setting is absolutely breathtaking. The lush greenery and beautiful landscape make you feel like you’re in the countryside, even though Paris is so close by. Whether you’re exploring the grounds or just relaxing, it’s a stunning place to unwind. One of the highlights for us was the Sunday brunch—it’s simply incredible! The variety and quality of the food were top-notch, and it really felt like a special experience. We could’ve stayed at the table for hours just enjoying the delicious offerings. For families, Maison du Val is a dream. The kids’ club and activities kept our little ones entertained the whole weekend. They had a blast with all the fun things to do, and it gave us adults some much-needed downtime to enjoy the other amenities. Speaking of which, there’s so much to do! The game rooms, cinema, and Nordic bath were huge hits for us, and all these free facilities really make the stay interesting and packed with activities. Whether you want to relax or keep busy, there’s something for everyone. As for the rooms, they’re not overly luxurious, but they’re comfortable and have everything you need for a relaxing stay. Given all the other amazing aspects of the hotel, the rooms were perfectly fine for us. All in all, Maison du Val continues to be one of our favorite weekend getaways. We can’t wait to return again and enjoy everything it has to offer! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat close to Paris.

La Cantine de Marius

15/08/2024: J'ai découvert cet établissement via du bouche à oreilles mais j'avoue que je ne l'avais jamais remarqué avant. Il se situe en face du château, mais légèrement en retrait de la grande rue et un peu dissimulé derrière les grands arbres de la petite place. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une petite table sous les arbres, c'était trop agréable, au calme à côté d'un olivier. Ca sentait bon les vacances! Le service est pro, rien à dire, on sent la passion du métier! Les plats sont inspirés de la cuisine corse. Un petit rosé corse, tentacules d'encornet au piment d'Espelette à la purée de maïs très surprenante, suivi d'une nage d'agrumes à la citronnelle pour moi. Tout était très bon, fin, bien présenté comme j'aime. Et la nage d'agrumes était sensationnelle en saveurs, bravo! Une très bonne adresse à St Ger, qui se démarque clairement des restaurants autour trop banals et sans effort (pardon pour eux..)
