A pleasant surprise! We chose this restaurant somewhat by chance on our way back from our walk to the red lighthouse. The daily specials were very reasonably priced; we each chose one of the two dishes offered and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The waitress was lovely, especially with our 6-year-old daughter.

The reviews I read further prove the importance of forming your own opinion. A typical Vendée welcome, with a friendly but overly attentive host. Ask for clarification on dishes that may not meet your expectations. The risotto isn't paella-style, but rather a paella; the gyozas are pleasant, but there aren't many on the plate; the "revisited" cheesecake is simply crushed speculoos; the squid is mushy and far too tender, indistinguishable from the sliced ​​leeks—thankfully the potatoes offer some texture. The vegetables in the tagine are overcooked. An experience... I won't be repeating.

Incredible! The cuisine was unique and simply sublime, the atmosphere very friendly, and the staff exceptionally kind! The dishes are original and transport you to another world! I highly recommend it!

28/04/2026: A wonderful, warm welcome, even with our dog (Labrador/Malinois mix) who was very well received 🙏. Superb homemade food and generous portions. My eldest daughter (who is allergic to artificial colors and ready-to-eat meals) enjoyed her meal without any problems 👍🏻. My second daughter, who is very picky about food, ate everything. Mussels marinière, hake fillet in sauce with rice, plantain, sweet potato, salad, and homemade banana chocolate cake (18.80 euros total). Butcher's cut with homemade fries (even when cooked medium, the meat cuts easily), salad, plantain, sweet potato, and homemade apple cinnamon cake (18.80 euros total). I highly recommend it!!!
