Very good time spent with family at the Ecluse restaurant. The cuisine is excellent. We enjoyed the eggplant gazpacho, pork pluma and chocolate tart, from the menu. Perfect accompaniments and presentations. Pleasant service. In addition, the place is ideal for digestive walks!

Terrasse avec superbe vue près de la sevre. Nous étions à l’abri malgré le temps changeant (de la pluie et du soleil). Service au petit soin. Plats savoureux, nous avons pris un plat et un dessert! Nous sommes fans de ce restaurant ! Nous recommandons!

A very romantic restaurant situated on the banks of the Sèvre in Vertou with a superb view of the canal lock and a weir. Warm and friendly service but the menu is limited. A range of fixed plate menus is available as well. The staff was happy to switch things within the plated menus which proved very flexible. The food was well prepared using mostly local produce, the service was quick, attentive but not intrusive. Wines were well chosen from local communes but the list was not extensive nor over-priced. The terrace overlooking the river would be ideal to sit out for a pre-dinner aperitif if the weather was amenable.
