Based on numerous positive recommendations, we chose this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time; all the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the setting was lovely, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touch for our anniversary: ​​a candle and a bride figurine with our dessert. Thank you again for this wonderful meal and experience. We will definitely recommend your restaurant to anyone looking for a truly enjoyable meal.

If you’re looking for a dining experience in the Nantes area that feels both inventive and deeply satisfying, you absolutely have to drop everything and book a table at L’Écluse à Vertou because it represents the very best of the region's modern, soulful culinary scene. From the moment you sit down, the attention to detail is obvious, starting with the rustic, crusty artisanal bread that arrives at the table—which is absolutely essential for soaking up every last bit of sauce later on. I was immediately impressed by the delicate, savory amuse-bouche rolls that arrived first, perfectly priming the palate for the main event with their light texture and fresh herb garnish. Now, the real star of the show is the squid carbonara, which is an absolute revelation that will make you rethink every standard pasta dish you’ve ever had. By swapping out traditional grains for incredibly tender, dark ribbons of squid that mimic the texture of tagliatelle, they’ve created a dish that is smoky, salty, and decadently creamy while remaining surprisingly light and oceanic.
