Restaurant L'Embroche is an excellent restaurant serving traditional cuisine. The atmosphere is relaxed yet very professional, and everything is delicious and homemade, including the excellent bread. We had excellent tripe (probably "à la mode de Caen" 😎) and truly superb pollack with beurre blanc sauce! The waitress was very pleasant and professional.

Very pleasant, quiet terrace. Warm and friendly welcome. We had a very good meal: salmon with beurre blanc sauce, Caesar salad (skewer style), Normandy burger, and pork burger. Delicious homemade fries. I recommend it.

We haven't even had dessert yet, but we're giving our opinion: the set menu is incredibly affordable, the dishes are very nice, and the service and welcome are top-notch. Don't hesitate to leave the main street to find yourself in a quiet and very good restaurant.

We didn't wait for dessert to give our opinion, very good value for money for the set menu, good and pretty, very nice bread, quiet location and very pleasant service, we really liked it, tripe if you want to eat regional, do not hesitate to leave the main street to go to this quieter place, you will not regret it.

We came for lunch and were greeted with a big smile by the waitress and the chef; they are very pleasant people. My dad, a big fan, ordered the tripe and thought it was excellent! I had the Norman Burger, a very original burger with Camembert and apples! The place is a bit out of the way in Caen (don't hesitate to call to find this hidden gem; you'll get great directions). Thank you for this discovery and this delicious meal! 😁 See you soon!

Excellent restaurant, high-quality cuisine. The tripe is exceptional, among the best I've ever eaten. It's no coincidence that it has won so many awards, which are absolutely deserved. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is top-notch. Highly recommended.

20/05/2026: We visited Omaha Beach in the afternoon and didn't get back to Caen until 9:30 PM, which was just about an hour before closing time. Despite the late hour, the owner warmly welcomed us in. We ordered the seafood platter, and the portions were huge and incredibly fresh—I could easily pull out a massive chunk of meat from the crab! As novices at eating sea snails, it took us quite a while, and by the time we finished everything, we had actually stayed 20 minutes past closing time. However, throughout our meal, we never felt rushed at all. On the contrary, the owner kept telling us to take our time and enjoy. Since we were the last guests, she even shared with us that everything is lovingly homemade and they only have five chefs in the kitchen. In short, the food was delicious and hearty (especially that seafood platter!), and the service was impeccable—the staff cleared our used plates very promptly. The owner's warmth and hospitality truly touched our hearts. If I ever visit France again, I will definitely bring my friends here! C'est un régal !

28/05/2026: Very good. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly. We ate well! A big plus: the air conditioning, especially in this heat!
26/05/2026: Very good restaurant, delicious food, attentive waiter. The three-course meal (starter, main, dessert) is around €30 and is quite filling. You can order risotto, vegetables, etc., instead of fries. The risotto is excellent.
