The welcome, the service, the food, and the chef were all exceptional! It was flawless in every way. I highly recommend it for a pleasant escape from the crowds of Vaugueux.

Excellent meal from start to finish. Impeccable, professional waitress. The chef is approachable, available, and passionate, tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac in the Vaucluse (you won't be dining in the middle of a crowd… 😉). The chef reinvents the menu with the seasons, as every restaurateur should. Top-notch! I'll definitely be back!

We discovered L’Embroche while strolling through the historic Vaugueux district, and a glance at the menu immediately revealed that it's a restaurant serving traditional Norman cuisine (and Caen cuisine specifically), not a classic brasserie. The typical appetizer was very good, the dish of the day was black cod in lemon butter and mash, delicious and generously portioned, and finally, for dessert, the crème brûlé à la chef was delicious, with just the right crispy, charred coating. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and the bill was absolutely appropriate for the quality and quantity. Best dinner we had in Caen (and probably in Normandy). Highly recommended ✨
