Op loopafstand van het hotel Les Bellugues bevind zich vlak bij het station waar de stoomtrein vertrekt. De buitenkant spreekt niet aan maar binnen is het prima vertoeven. Er werd niet opgediend op het terras omdat het te fris was. Eenvoudige inrichting en beperkte menukaart (3 voorgerechten, 3 hoofdgerechten en 3 desserts). Heel vlotte bediening, de dame gaf een heel stuurse indruk maar dat viel ontzettend mee. Vrij snel was de maaltijd opgediend en dat was lekker. Vrij correcte prijs voor de kwaliteit en ook de wijn was niet zo duur. Aanrader.

Friendly place with efficient and pleasant service. Just a shame about the too liquid sauce with my meat. The fish very good as well as my white wine in a pitcher. Too bad for the caramel ice cream which has a vanilla visual appearance and the caramel taste is not pronounced enough for me. Thanks to the whole team

A wonderful moment between friends for the 50th birthday of one of us. Wonderful welcome and smile from Nassima and the dishes were delicious. Ideal location near the train station. Thank you so much !

Nous nous y sommes arrêtés pour manger une glace. Excellent ! Parfums goûteux ! Figue, noisette, marron, mûre, ... Personnel très serviable. Terrasse ombragée très agréable. Juste à côté de la gare du petit train des Cévennes ☀️

one word: PERFECT arriving on the first trip with the train, we ate there this afternoon with our 2 grown-up daughters and our baby, it was flawless! the welcome, the kindness, the setting, the cuisine (cuttlefish with its homemade aioli 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤) the burger was excellent and my wife enjoyed your Cevenol salad. the menu is small, there aren't many dishes but believe me it's a very good sign, they only serve fresh produce! continue like that! CONGRATULATIONS TO YOUR TEAM. Mr Pouchain.

11/11/2024: Malgré un affichage "restaurant complet", on a quand même pu nous trouver une petite place (nous n'étions que deux !). L'ambiance bistro, le personnel sympathique, la formule très correcte en rapport qualité/prix nous ont enchantés. Le gratin dauphinois aurait pu être un peu plus dauphinois : plus crémeux mais je l'ai amélioré avec la sauce au roquefort accompagnant la saucisse de Lozère. Le reste était parfait !
23/08/2024: Restaurant sympas, bon accueil, on a bien été servi malgré une salle pleine. Quelques plats sont de la région et avec des tarifs raisonnables.

08/09/2024: I have been a customer of l’Oronge for 50 years and experienced its various owners. This was my first time back after three years under new operators I had been highly recommended. A young and friendly couple, Camille and Théodore bring back the best of the hospitality and pleasant dining I knew when I was a child. The kindness and smile of Camille will immediately make you feel welcome. Théodore and his crew will deliver on the promise of this first impression with carefully crafted plates that share imagination and great taste. Our party of 22 for a family reunion was kindly accommodated to our wishes despite a few last minute changes to the number of guests and plate because of an allergy I was not aware of. All of us enjoyed the fixed menu I had selected for our group with Camille and Théodore and all were also amazed at the value of the 3-meal menu with aperitif, wine and coffee we received for 35€. Saint-Jean-du-Gard has again a nice place to enjoy lunch and diner. Sadly the weather turned wet and we could not enjoyed the terrace this time, but we’ll be back next summer for the full experience.
31/07/2024: We just ate for lunch. A big thank you to the chef and his brigade as well as the wait staff for adapting the dishes to gluten-free.
