Excellent restaurant! Never disappointed! What a delight this tender steak accompanied by its homemade fries!

So, I finally visited this legendary place in Bordeaux. As for the principle of the single dish, no worries, it's good. But I will never be able to understand this queuing system which may also be its reputation. The service is quality, fast and efficient.

I was worried because there was a wait, but the table for two was quickly occupied so I waited about 5 minutes and went straight in. I ordered well done and medium rare and both were delicious! It was even better that the staff spoke English.

A 10!! I recommend going half an hour or 40 minutes before it opens (I'm not exaggerating), at that time the queue begins to form no matter what day it is. It has a menu that consists of salad, meat in a delicious sauce and French fries in LARGE QUANTITY. They also offer you more free potatoes if you want to repeat. They don't charge for water and bread so it's great, and you can also repeat for free. I didn't try the desserts but they looked very good. The waitresses are very friendly and the kitchen serves dishes quickly. It is a good place to eat in Bordeaux. I would repeat

A very friendly institution and service....no disappointment possible

Without a doubt, an essential stop in Bordeaux. Very good attention from the staff, abundant quantity and very good price.

Despite the long queue, the food is acceptable but not great!! U have only one choice for the appetizer and for the main course. So do not fool yourself for different varieties of meals. The appetizer is simple and good but the main food is so oily. They give huge amount of french fries with ur steak and they will give free top up of that french fries if u wish. But really i dont get all the hypes around this restaurant!! It doesnt worth to stay long queue to eat such a steak! The meal is 22€ and the dessert costs 7 to 8.5 € depends on what u choose.

We were there on Holy Thursday night. At 6:00 p.m. there is a queue as it turns around the street, we went around 8:00 p.m. and there were fewer, but there was... We were waiting for about 40' in the rain, they have umbrellas there for people. It didn't seem right to us that when a group of 3 or 4 emptied, another group of the same group would enter, with people in front. You go as you go, you enter and they ask you for the drink and the point of the meat (they speak Spanish), the meat sauce is the highlight of the dish, the meat comes cut thinly and with potatoes (then they ask you if you want more potatoes), depending on how you sit, they give you a plate of lettuce with walnuts. They have several desserts and we decided on the Vacherin with chocolate, it is a tower of ice cream and hard meringue topped with cream, and with dark chocolate sauce. To share. We understand that there is another one in Paris. Would we return? Surely.
