L'entrecôte sur Gond-Pontouvre

We came for lunch as a family today and had a wonderful time. We chose two adult menus at €37 each and two children's menus at €10 each. Everything was delicious! The waitress gave us a very warm welcome and the service was pleasant. The meats, cooked over a wood fire, were excellent, as were the homemade fries. The portions were generous, which was much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed everything from the appetizer to the dessert. The restaurant is full of charm and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We will definitely return. A truly wonderful place that we highly recommend!

If you're looking for a restaurant serving excellent beef and homemade fries, this is the place to go. The staff is extremely friendly. I would definitely go back.

An unusual place, where we dined in the small room near the fireplace. The waitress was lovely and patient (again, sorry for the sacrilege of asking for the duck breast medium-rare 😜). The meat (duck breast, rib-eye steaks), burgers 🙏, fries, sauces—everything was excellent. Thank you for a great time, we'll be back.

This place was a delightful discovery! I was expecting a chain restaurant like the ones in Bordeaux or Montpellier, but not at all. If you're looking for a more varied menu with excellent cuts of meat, this is the place. ⭐ A warm welcome from the start, followed by attentive service, always with a smile and genuine kindness. The dining room has a charming "mountain chalet" feel. ⭐ We enjoyed a delicious cocktail and mocktail! For my part, with the Vendangeur, I found there either wasn't enough, or the container was too big, but I still wanted more! 😂 ⭐ We started our meal with a generous charcuterie board, a special mention for the very good black pudding and the absolutely incredible Charentais cheesecake! 👌🏾 ⭐ For our main courses, we were well served with two rib-eye steaks and homemade fries, cheese sauce, peppercorn sauce, and Béarnaise sauce. Everything was perfect, from the cooking of the meat and fries to the seasoning of the sauces. 😊 Thank you again for this lovely surprise and the warm welcome; we highly recommend this place! 😁
