02/04/2026: We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The dining room was lovely with a view of a beautiful sunset. The staff was very attentive and caring.
The food was excellent (burger and cod). The desserts were also very good (tiramisu and profiteroles). We highly recommend it!
31/03/2026: From the initial phone call to the final goodbye, everything was impeccable!
Right from the start, when making the reservation, I mentioned that I was on crutches. They seated me at a table overlooking the Yonne River, but with easy access.
Then, the interactions with the servers (all of them, but we have a special mention for Iléane, almost 16, an apprentice who was absolutely perfect!) were charming: smiling, attentive, and joking just the right amount. The sommelier even changed the wine we ordered for one he preferred, at the same price!
Then, we got to the heart of the matter: THE MEAL!
For starters, snails in a tartiflette sauce, cooked in a Chaource cream with Aligoté cheese and parsley. What a discovery! The dish was well-balanced (in terms of flavor, because clearly, forget about dieting here 😉). The snails, cooked to perfection, mingle with the cheese, whose aroma is fully present, and the aligot creates a creamy, velvety sauce that binds everything together without being heavy. Absolutely divine!
Next comes the braised pork knuckle with a creamy curry sauce. The pork is cooked to absolute perfection: the incredibly tender meat falls apart beautifully, allowing it to be coated in the perfectly balanced curry sauce. It's served with a quenelle of mashed potato and roasted zucchini, which complement it perfectly. This is a sure thing, cooked by a chef who knows his craft!
To finish, a coffee crème brûlée, neither too much nor too little—again, the perfect balance.
All this in a lovely setting. In the spring, lunch on the terrace must be incredibly romantic!
And the price remains very reasonable considering the quality and freshness of the dishes served.
By sheer luck, my aunt lives in the area, so one thing is certain: we'll be back with immense pleasure!!!! Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼.
I just forgot to offer a suggestion: perhaps serving tea in a teapot with a matching cup would be more in keeping with the style of the restaurant and the meal, rather than a simple cup which, personally, I found a bit small. But that's really just nitpicking....
