Located near the gîte we had booked for the last evening of our tour of the Jura, this restaurant offers a pleasant setting, especially on the terrace in good weather. The atmosphere is family-friendly, with a small playhouse for children, allowing parents to enjoy their meal in peace.
We went on a Saturday evening around 8:30 p.m. The dishes are only available on the blackboard, with no printed menus.
I chose the €30 set menu, which included:
a homemade starter, a little below my expectations,
a delicious escalope with morels,
a very generous cheese platter.
The bread, however, was of average quality; a contrast to the bread served at breakfast in our gîte, which leads me to believe the baker was different.
The appetizers were served by a very pleasant and cheerful young waitress. My companion opted for the €25 set menu, which featured calf's head as the main course. He really enjoyed it and was discovering this dish for the first time.
The service wasn't particularly fast, but it was still adequate. We were told that the chef worked alone in the kitchen, which meant we had to spread out our orders.
In total, it cost us €60 for two, including wine.
The service is friendly and the whole team is amazing! The food is to die for, the yellow wine and morel crust with a fantastic sauce! I highly recommend it 😋😋😋
A very pleasant and delicious meal. Authentic regional dishes in a pleasant atmosphere. We were lucky because there happened to be a party. Everyone got the same menu (delicious regional dishes) and there was live music.
