We stumbled across this place by chance, escaping the crowds in the center of Colmar. Even though it didn't look inviting, especially with the reviews, we decided to go in anyway, and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was good and fast, and the food was quite tasty. The only downside was the lack of cleanliness; otherwise, everything was fine.

We read the reviews after we were seated and were frankly a little apprehensive, but the waiter's warm welcome put us at ease; he was smiling and friendly. And we had our big dog with us, so we stayed, and we're glad we did. The food was delicious and piping hot, which isn't always the case in other restaurants. The wait was perfectly reasonable considering how busy it was at this time of year. Thank you for your hospitality.

Lovely Christmas menu.
We sampled the specialties. Excellent service, the staff were all friendly and smiling! Wonderful desserts—a fondant? No, an incredible molten chocolate cake! The Nutella Yule log was also superb.

We were there today, and it was quite crowded.
The staff greeted us and seated us. They were friendly, as far as I could tell, and spoke almost exclusively French.
The menu has English and German subtitles.
We sat in the annex, which was heated.
The seating is a bit cramped, and the benches along the walls are like beer garden benches.
We were served quickly despite the crowd. Drinks arrived promptly, and the food less than 20 minutes later.
The tarte flambée was very good.
My roast chicken with mushroom cream sauce and fries was a bit bland. I asked for salt and pepper and seasoned it myself. The sauce had a good consistency, and the mushrooms looked fresh.
All in all, quite good. I can't really understand the negative reviews.
Three drinks and two main courses for €44.20 is, I think, very reasonable for France.
So, the price-performance ratio is excellent.

We arrived in Colmar last night and found the place open. The food was very good and the service from the manager was excellent (something that's rare in France). We're a family of five and we ate well at a good price.

The food was passable, but the rest was simply unacceptable. The waitresses were about as friendly as a prison guard, the atmosphere was gloomy—in short, a restaurant to avoid. The price of the tarte flambée was outrageous! If you're a tourist, don't be ripped off!
