Les Artistes has practically become a Limoges institution! Their dishes are generous and delicious, with truly excellent homemade fries, and a wide selection of main courses and desserts where everything is genuinely good. It's the perfect place for lunch and dinner. The staff is lovely and full of good jokes, and I've rarely experienced a problem with the service. The location isn't the best in Limoges, and the restaurant offers misting under their tents in hot weather, which I didn't particularly like as it made the air feel stuffy. Fortunately, the servers were very friendly and moved us to another table without any fuss!

I go to Les Artistes regularly!! It's a really great place, the food is excellent, and a special mention to a waiter who served us two delicious sangrias 🍹 on Saturday evening, July 18th. He was very friendly and always smiling 😀. It's a shame I don't know his name… We'll definitely be back!!!

A welcoming place, a really lovely terrace at the end of the day, and the meal served was absolutely delicious! Homemade fries, chicken escalope with homemade sauce, and truly amazing pieces of mushrooms! Delicious from start to finish, and fantastic value for money! We'll definitely be back on our next trip! 🤩

I fell because my legs felt like jelly, and the lady came over with a glass of cold water. Very pleasant staff. Can't give 5 stars because nothing was perfect.

Discovered somewhat by chance and definitely not disappointed. The meal was very good and plentiful. The misting system on the terrace was very pleasant in this heatwave. I recommend it.

08/09/2024: Ce restaurant a été longtemps fermé. Réouvert il ne sert plus que le midi. La cuisine, à base de grillade est toujours de bonne qualité, grillades gouteuses, cuites idéalement et desserts maison. L'accueil, par contre est déplorable. A notre arrivée deux personnes discutent derrière le comptoir, et nous ignorent, sans répondre à notre bonjour. Pendant près de 5 minutes, nous tentons d'attirer l'attention du serveur, débordé. Finalement une femme (qui discutait à notre arrivée) vient vers nous: "2 personnes? attendez là." nous ordonne t'elle avant de s'en aller. Quelques minutes après, le serveur vient nous chercher et nous place. Heureusement qu'il était professionnel et efficace, et le reste du repas se passe plutôt bien. Il se démène comme un beau diable, courant partout, pendant que la jeune femme, et le patron (supposé) le regardent travailler. Vraiment un accueil déplorable; aucune amabilité, pas de sourire. On se demande pourquoi ils font ce métier.

08/07/2026: We stayed in Limoges just for 2 nights. We discovered this restaurant on the first evening - loved it so much, we returned on the 2nd! It had a set menu - plat of the day - but also omelettes and salads. The friendly owner appeared to be a one man band, taking the orders, cooking and serving. Both meals we chose were freshly cooked. There was an excellent selection on the cheese course; and 3 desserts to chose from. Three courses including a good bottle of red wine - 33 Euro. (for both of us) A wonderful experience in this local cafe - although very close to the station. Recommend.
08/06/2026: Passing through on a business trip, what can I say? The welcome was exceptional, the food was just like it used to be—simple but good, and the price was incredibly reasonable. Real, flavorful cuisine. You can feel the owner's generosity; he loves what he does. Honestly, don't miss this restaurant; it's a shame it's no longer around. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Thank you again for feeding us so well! 🙏
