An iconic recipe from the North, and more specifically from the Avesnois region, the Flamiche (or Maroilles cheese tart with its distinctive pastry) is particularly celebrated here. We are in the heartland of Maroilles cheese and the Flamiche, and the Chef offers several variations that will delight your taste buds. This Sunday, we opted for the set menu. It was generous, and the Flamiche was succulent—neither greasy nor overpowering in flavor—a true delight served with a fresh, crisp green salad. And what can we say about the desserts? Even better than the Flamiche, the Riboche (an apple encased in brioche pastry) is impressively delicious and delicate, and the sugar tartlet topped with crumble is far superior to the well-known classic sugar tart. These two winter desserts are original and incredibly refined; it's a real pleasure to enjoy them with a good coffee. The place is small, with decor and an atmosphere typical of the North. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, efficient, and professional. We arrived in the rain and gloom outside and left with joyful hearts. We will be back. (The only slight discomfort was the occasional cold draft on our legs while eating. It must be coming from the kitchen.)

Everything is there… typical quality products, a warm welcome and friendly smiles, very reasonable prices and nods to old-fashioned games… worth discovering!!

The riboche and the hot chocolate were delicious

A wonderful discovery at the Wattrelos Trade Fair, with a delicious Brioche with Bacon and Maroilles cheese 😛 . At €4.50, it might be a bit off-putting, even if the taste is there! I'm giving it a 5 ⭐️ because it was really good, and that's the main thing 😀

Friendly setting and very well decorated in vintage style, the staff could be more welcoming

We had a great time on Sunday in the cellar! A warm welcome from a smiling apprentice waitress who really took great care of us. The setting is friendly and we really enjoyed ourselves, even if we didn't manage to finish everything... A place to recommend and where I will happily return!

Top of the top, despite the crazy crowd, they were all listening, yes we had to wait and then it was Sunday! No problem, it was super good!
