It's always a pleasure to eat at Les Caves de Marson every year. The fouées and chipouillettes are excellent. However, this year the wine paired with the menu was very poor, acidic... Hopefully the Saumur Champigny will be better next time.

The ambiance and service were fine. My opinion of the food was rather mixed. I've been to several cave restaurants that offer fouées (a type of flatbread) on the menu. Replacing the rillauds (pork belly confit) with chipolatas didn't disappoint me. Furthermore, the dessert, a seasonal fruit crumble, was burnt! To be consistent with the "seasonal fruit" claim, apples are not in season in June!
