Les Commercants sur Clermont-Ferrand

This café/restaurant is a truly wonderful find; the welcome is incredibly friendly and warm. I didn't try the restaurant itself, but I can say that the aroma of the dishes arriving in the dining room was particularly enticing. I had forgotten my suitcase, and the owner brought it back to me on the train platform just before I boarded my train—what luck to encounter such wonderful people!

Passing through by bike, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this establishment 😊. The rooms are very clean and the bedding excellent. Perhaps a little old-fashioned, but that has its charm. The restaurant is truly top-notch, with excellent cocktails and dishes, really. And what can we say about the welcome!! All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next trip to Clermont. Well done to the whole team 👍.

Very warm welcome and very good meal

Opposite the train station, this restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. The welcome was very friendly, the service impeccable and quick, and the dishes were well-presented and homemade with fresh ingredients. Two minor points about our meal, however: the cheek was a little fatty and the cheese in the pasta was rather bland. Otherwise, everything else was very good.

My review concerns only the restaurant; I didn't have the chance to stay there! The restaurant is warm and welcoming, with a lovely family atmosphere and a delightful lady serving you. As for the food, it's absolutely delicious, fresh, and local—I highly recommend it! 🙂

A traditional and excellent restaurant in Clermont-Ferrand. The service is genuine, reflecting a real joy and desire to welcome you. We visited the kitchens, which were immaculate, and the chef is as talented as he is kind. A visit to Clermont-Ferrand is one we'll repeat as often as possible. Thank you.
