The beating heart of the small town of Thurins, in the middle of the agricultural lands of western Lyon, is Les Doigts Framboise. Where to start ? It's not just a village bistro, it's a real tasteful restaurant. You will perhaps detect, through the fine and original menu, constantly renewed with seasonal and local products, the influence of the prestigious Grenobloise cooking school, the Lesdiguières hotel school (yes, I found out, it was so weird to eat so well in this godforsaken town). Revisited classics, local dishes and some inventive creations whose aromas, subtle or marked, will set a precedent. That said, you will also be able to have your fill of the best thin crust pizza in the world (that's just my opinion) among the choice, also evolving according to the natural calendar. And we will recommend a good bottle for watering, if you feel like it. Small budgets will perhaps treat themselves to their rare outing to the restaurant, one lunchtime of the week, with the unbeatable menu at €9 (I know, in 2024 it looks like fake news) which always includes starter + main course + dessert and always animal proteins (if you want them). Enough on the menu! Another invaluable quality: the setting. No less than five different atmospheres are available to you. In summer we enjoy the terrace in the shade of the old plane trees, near the fountain on Place Dugas. Fans of the outdoors, all year round, may prefer to eat on the go, have a coffee or a pint, on a standing table in front of the entrance, while watching life in Thurin go by. Inside, the large room is divided between two worlds. First the catering area itself. Decor... Oh how can I put it? Cuddly decor. Very soft and cozy decor. People speak softly because this is what the atmosphere (and the menu) instills and it feels good. On the other side, along the bar, it's for a drink. You will be able to eat your aperitif board and drink a few buckets while getting to know the local elders and the young people. Finally, if you want to have a drink in a group, smoke a cigarette sheltered from the rain or even just let the kids wander around without fear of cars, there is the patio. All well closed, fully equipped with roots decor with recycled wood, sofa, brazier, coffee tables. Perfect for a small group aperitif. But what, with a little practice, will bring you cleanly to your foundation are the people who make this incredible store work! After a feeling of martial professionalism (serious training required), you perceive to what extent those who welcome you truly love people, all people, whoever they are, without opinion, without complacency, without illusion, without judgment. This is what keeps a village alive! What a joy to introduce this little haven (for hiding, not for barges) to friends and families! What a joy to introduce children to gastronomy or to enjoy it as a couple! Come on, it's too long, I'll stop, with a little postscript for those "like me": Kro + Grim blonde on tap + a beer of the moment (usually a "seasonal" Grim, we won't do it again.. .).
Okay, let's be objective: allergic to cats? Warn beforehand. And as long as you don't all rush there, from Thursday to Monday only, that's the hard blow.
