Les Gagas sur Marseille

Excellent place, fantastic service, excellent wines with a great selection, and a delicious dinner with unique flavors. Highly recommended.

I had a terrible lunch at a brasserie whose name I won't mention – but Bistrot Chave put me right back in a good mood! It's delicious, and I only had one dish, but it already makes me want to go back. The vegetables were flavorful, the duck was cooked perfectly… yum! 😋

Formerly known as "Les Gagas," we tried the new name and were quite disappointed. The menu is rather limited in both choice and flavor. Very few options and no seasonal dishes. The portions are small and stacked to give the impression of volume. It's a shame for a small neighborhood bistro to lose its identity and culinary expertise. The service was mediocre at best; expect to have to beg for a drink or an aperitif... The owner requires a full meal...

I only ordered the appetizers; nothing appealed to me. Very poorly prepared. "Fried eggplant, ricotta, and mint"—a spoonful of ricotta piled on top of soggy, oil-soaked eggplant with four mint leaves in the corners of the plate. The portions were ridiculously small. The setting was pleasant enough, though, and the staff were welcoming.

A great find! A simple menu with something for everyone. The fish with vegetables was delicious, and the dessert was excellent too. I highly recommend it.

We visited Bistrot Chave on our last holiday to Marseille, and it was one of the highlights of the trip. :) One of the first things that impressed us was the remarkable selection of natural wines. The knowledgeable and passionate staff offered thoughtful recommendations that matched our preferences perfectly, introducing us to some excellent wines. The food was outstanding throughout the meal. Each dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. It's clear that great attention is given to both the ingredients and the overall dining experience! The team was attentive, friendly and genuinely committed to ensuring every guest had a great experience. If you're visiting Marseille and appreciate excellent food, exceptional wines and warm service, Bistrot Chave is absolutely worth discovering!

We got the braised pork, sausage, and the tomato salad. Everything was so fresh and made with care! Our server was also incredibly helpful and walked us through the menu.

Excellent experience, authentic and distinctive cuisine. We will definitely return on our next trip to Marseille!

What a wonderful discovery in Marseille! Everything was perfect: the reception, the intimate and welcoming atmosphere, and especially the food, which was simply fantastic. Each dish was a pleasant surprise, full of flavor and beautifully presented. A special highlight was the natural wine list, with a huge variety of options. The staff made excellent recommendations according to our tastes, which made the experience even more special and personalized. The service was extremely kind, attentive, and made us feel at home. One of those places that stays in your memory and that you recommend without hesitation. Thank you so much for this very special experience!

Very good bistro, the fish was excellent. Very friendly waitresses. I recommend it.
