The atmosphere could have been quite nice with friends, except the fish and chips on the menu ruined everything because they weren't up to scratch. The labeling of the origin of ALL the meats isn't immediately obvious to customers. The cooking style is deep-fried, with a characteristic taste, and what's more... they're far too oily—so much for calorie counting! See the latest photos added for the traditional cooking method... Here, it seems profitability takes precedence; no dry-cured ham, just a basic, entry-level ham on the menu, like in a bistro in Saint-Étienne that I know very well... and which gets its cheap pâté-style product from Metro. I often say that a professional's garbage is a good indicator, even if their name isn't Bertrand 😊. Oh, and I almost forgot, the poor-quality fresh cheese called Sarasson is served as an extra charge. Overall, it's poor value for money because even the fries 🍟 in the children's menu, which cost around €10, had a sour taste. We regretted the trip, especially the fuel and the bill 👓. For visitors, the typical viewpoint of the town is from Guizay towards La Ricamarie.

A wonderful family meal! Delicious food, a warm welcome, and a setting with a breathtaking view! An inn just the way we like them, with fresh, local produce! The staff is competent and friendly! I highly recommend it without reservation! Thank you!

We came for lunch this afternoon, and what can I say... bravo for the welcome, the service, the quality of the products, and the quantity. We will be back with great pleasure.

If you're looking for a great time in a legendary spot in Saint-Étienne to eat the famous râpées, a traditional dish of the Saint-Étienne region, then this is the place to be. If you go in the evening, there's a magnificent view of the city. It's also important to preserve these places, as inns are becoming increasingly rare.

A very good restaurant in the countryside. Ideal place for a large table with family or friends, there were 18 of us. Local specialties, excellent cold meats, the plates are enormous!

We arrived on a Saturday evening around 6:30 pm without a reservation, and the owner got angry, explaining that they only had two servers. Since there were only two of us and four other customers, I initially thought he was exaggerating and even hesitated to leave. But around 7:30 pm, when we had finished eating, the room had filled up. Finally, the owner calmed down, started chatting with us, then apologized and even offered us a drink. He invited us back and promised another gift; this warm gesture deserves 5 stars. 😌 For the meal, I had the fried fish. It was a bit greasy for me because I ate it with three pieces of fish and couldn't finish it all. If you don't like oil, I recommend choosing something else. Otherwise, the view is superb, and I really enjoyed the place.
