Beautiful view, no complaints there. The grated potatoes tasted like old oil. Personally, I didn't enjoy them.

The inn is located in a peaceful, natural setting with a beautiful view of Saint-Étienne. The welcome was pleasant, and the traditional cuisine was decent (the grated cheese was a bit greasy). The portions were generous. We ate outside; while the space was sheltered from the wind, it was incredibly noisy when busy. The servers were friendly, but the service was extremely slow. It took 2.5 hours for a meal for three people! Overall, we were quite disappointed.

Warm welcome, friendly waiter and waitress. The meal was delicious and generous; it had been a long time since we'd eaten such meaty frog legs. The hot sausage with salad was a real treat. From appetizer to dessert, everything was excellent. A positive experience that we would repeat without hesitation.

07/09/2026: The food was well-prepared and very good, but the service was rather cold and slow...🥱 and there was absolutely no atmosphere. Not recommended for children; the menus are too expensive.
21/08/2026: So happy to have discovered this place. It's wonderful to be able to eat fresh, delicious food. The daily menu is truly exceptional, offering excellent value for money. The portions are generous, and everything is homemade, even the bread, which, by the way, is absolutely delicious. 25/07/2026: A restaurant in the heart of Saint-Étienne with a shaded terrace, a refined daily special featuring two fish and two meat dishes accompanied by fresh vegetables from the local farmers' market, a lovely dessert menu, and all at a very reasonable price. A very pleasant family meal. A sixth star for the immediate care of our four-legged companion who was with us. Impeccable service. Thank you for this lunch.
08/07/2026: I was blown away by the warm welcome from the staff at Café de L'Opera; they were truly attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, perfect for an evening with family or friends. The value for money is excellent.
