I dare you to finish your plates! All the dishes are delicious and generous, just like the two owners... This is the kind of place we wish we could find more often. (We didn't try the hotel, only had lunch at the restaurant.)

A wonderful place, the restaurant is excellent, as is the staff. Incredible home-style cooking. Thank you for your hospitality; we will be back very soon on our next visit.

Sylvie is very kind and accommodating! The meals are hearty and delicious, both dinner and breakfast :) The rooms are simple and comfortable, and the guesthouse is located right on the Stevenson Trail! We highly recommend it!!

From the moment we arrived until we were served, everything was perfect, with a lovely chef and impeccable service (thanks also to her mother), it was pure bliss. We had a wonderful time and, above all, the food was delicious. Don't hesitate to stop by; I recommend it 200%!

This restaurant deserves a stop on the GR (Grande Randonnée) route all on its own, it's so exceptional. I've never eaten such a delicious meal for such a price. The owners are very friendly and down-to-earth, no airs and graces! Go for it!!! I would have liked to take more photos of the meal, but I got too hungry.

I can confirm that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover: the shared toilet on the landing and the stairs leading to the rooms might make you want to leave (despite the challenging walk). But actually, while it's not the Ritz, the rooms are decent and very clean, and above all, the manager is a sweetheart, full of character, and attentive to her guests (thank you for letting me rest a little longer in the Petit Salon while the rest of my family visited Notre Dame des Neiges). Her cooking is delicious and very generous after a day of having a blast (literally and figuratively) on the GR70. So, I also wholeheartedly recommend the Hôtel des Genêts. Thank you for everything :)

Sylvie and her mother gave us a fantastic welcome! The menu was delicious from start to finish. Everything was perfect, very generous portions, and no frills: real, authentic cuisine, just like the people who run the place. Don't miss it under any circumstances! A wonderful culinary experience and a great time shared together. Sylvie's culinary talents are well-deservedly renowned.

Don't judge a book by its cover: Sylvie might seem a bit rough around the edges, and the staircase leading to the rooms could easily put you off. In fact, while not luxurious, the rooms are perfectly adequate and spotlessly clean, and Sylvie is absolutely lovely, taking excellent care of her guests. Her cooking is delicious and very (perhaps too?) generous. The hotel is very well located. So, you can book a stay at the Hôtel des Genêts without hesitation.
