The pancakes are really delicious but they are worth it because the queue is always quite long.
Another small downside: purchase limited to 2 dozen per household, a little tight for large families!
I will try to be as objective as possible. I have known the Halles creperie for more than 25 years, probably 30. For me, they are the best crepes in Brittany. They are my Proust madeleines.
But, but, having little opportunity to go to Douarn' and wanting to make sure I had crepes, I, like the previous year, sent an email via the site to place an order. Last year, no problem, this year, without any response to my email and without me being able to call, the line being on answering machine, there were no pancakes set aside.
The boss's response, dry and unpleasant, surprised me greatly: "we are no longer taking orders".
So I waited in line, only to discover that purchases were now limited to two dozen wheat, served without a smile...
- a response to my email would have been welcome
- kindness towards customers always does good
- the recipe for the changee dough, the smell and taste of vanilla are much less present.
- Refusal to sell is punishable by law (limit to two dozen)
-refusing customers to photograph the bilig ride is not very commercial... but it is your right.
In short, my Proust madeleine took its teeth into it.
