Les Marmottes sur Arrens-Marsous

We came for sandwiches, but since they're closing permanently in three days, the manager offered us a delicious garbure (a hearty vegetable and meat stew) to grab on the go. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We followed it up with a fantastic cheese platter. Thank you for the warm welcome and efficient service. This superb restaurant will be sorely missed at the summit of this legendary mountain pass. All the best for the future!

I wasn't expecting much when I entered a restaurant at a high altitude, and I was seriously disappointed. A very warm welcome, hearty dishes, local produce, and truly delicious food. A delight from start to finish. A stunning view of the Azun Valley from the terrace. Brilliant, I recommend it and will come back.
