The dining room was a bit cramped, but the service was friendly and welcoming. We tried the ficelle picarde, which was excellent, served with a mixed salad. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
I recommend it.

A hearty duck parmentier, fresh crudités, and a light soup accompanied by local cheese and bread. A generous sandwich (half a baguette). I recommend it for a lunchtime break.

A really great place with a very friendly owner and, above all, an excellent meal. Picardy-style string cheese and a potée (a type of stew). Two gourmet coffees and a very pleasant time. Thank you for introducing me to sea buckthorn 😉 I'll go to bed "a little wiser" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lovely gourmet shop. Excellent snacks at very reasonable prices. The Maroilles cheese croquemonsieur on country bread is delicious and makes a meal, and the craft beer is very good.
Thanks to the waitress for the idea of the Maroilles béchamel sauce!

We popped into Les Mets this last weekend. The children had some tasty ice cream and the adults tried some local beers.
There was a bit of confusion on where / how to order when sitting on the tables outside, but once that was resolved, we enjoyed a lovely time there looking up at the medieval part of St Valery and watching the world go by.
Definitely worth a quick beer if you have the time.

They tell me they find it difficult to cut half a baguette into three pieces, and they only cut the children's sandwiches in half! My 6-year-old grandson thinks they must not have the right knife… then changes his mind and says, "If they cut it in half, they can cut it in three!" :-
