Les Nymphéas sur Saint-Thibault-Des-Vignes

I came this evening with a friend; it was our very first time at this restaurant. I trusted the positive reviews, and I'm so glad I did. We had an excellent evening. The waiter was very kind and professional, immediately presenting us with the daily menu and what was unavailable. The kitchen, waiters, and owner were all very attentive and professional, and the staff were very helpful. The team was top-notch. The service was incredibly fast. The time between the starter, main course, and dessert was perfect, allowing ample time for digestion. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated; it's really lovely. Regarding the meal, we ordered a set menu (starter, main course, and dessert) for €36.90, which is really inexpensive for the quality—everything was homemade—and especially the generous portions. We left feeling completely satisfied. The food was excellent. The homemade touches, the real homemade fries, and the Batavia lettuce, cleaned and cut to order (not bagged), were a real treat. The warm goat cheese salad is perfect as a starter; the generous portion and the balsamic dressing are excellent, perfectly complementing the goat cheese on the perfectly toasted bread. As for the ribeye steak, it's simply superb—extremely tender meat that melts in your mouth, a beautiful, high-quality cut. The rare steak is cooked to perfection. The crème brûlée, a classic, is also delicious and not too sweet. We have absolutely no complaints; we had a wonderful time. It's great to see that restaurants still exist with professionals who prepare everything themselves, peeling, washing, cooking, chopping… all the ingredients to create truly homemade cuisine at a realistic price considering the quantity and quality. You can go there without hesitation; a delicious meal is guaranteed.

A pleasant surprise. The food is excellent. The owner is very friendly and approachable. The only area for improvement is the service, which isn't up to the standard of the rest of the restaurant. The restaurant is called Les Nymphéas (The Water Lilies), but you won't find any water lilies inside or on the terrace.

Dish of the day...calf's liver. I've very rarely eaten such good calf's liver. It wasn't even calf's liver, it was a veal liver steak. Very thick, but cooked to perfection 👍

What a joy to finally find THE neighborhood restaurant we'd been missing so close to home! Beyond the food, it's the team that's truly incredible. They are genuinely kind, authentic people with a real sense of hospitality. Special mention: they happily welcome dogs; our pooch was able to join us without any problems. Thank you for this wonderful experience; we'll definitely be making it our regular spot!
