Les Pins Penchés sur La Garde

The setting is lovely, with a sea view and a well-maintained garden. The furniture is dated but evokes a sense of elegance from 20 years ago. I enjoyed the cuisine overall, served by discreet and friendly staff, most of whom were in training.

Having dined in Michelin-starred and gourmet restaurants before, I feel I must be honest... It's a magnificent place, an extraordinary setting, the cocktails were good but nothing exceptional... We then went to eat and were quite disappointed. The dishes were either overcooked, the sauce too salty, the meat too large and undercooked, everything lacked flavor, and the dessert was bland and clearly not homemade... We felt like we were served by a team of apprentices who, despite their friendliness, weren't able to answer our questions properly. The head waitress wasn't very smiley and her expression was judgmental. In short, I found it lacked professionalism for such a prestigious establishment.

A very warm welcome, magnificent views, delicious food, and a lovely touch for my wife's birthday. I highly recommend it!

I dined at the restaurant for the second time, and the experience is, each time, of very high quality. The setting is magnificent, secluded by the sea. The dishes are of very high quality, and the wine list features a wide selection of local wines.

A huge THANK YOU to "Adonis" and a special mention to "Mélanie" for their patience and professionalism in resetting my "Maisons Lelievre" app, which I had lost and which has always been so dear to me. Not forgetting the warm welcome from everyone at the Grand Hôtel who assisted me throughout this process. The August 13th birthday celebration at Les Pins Penchés was, as always, a resounding success.

I knew of "Les Pins Penchés" by reputation, and for my birthday my son invited me, giving me the pleasure of experiencing it for myself. The place is charming, the château magnificent. The dishes are refined and delicate, with original flavors. The courses flowed seamlessly, each more delicious than the last, from the amuse-bouches to the dazzling array of desserts. The ingredients are of exceptional quality. The staff is attentive and caring, without being intrusive. This first experience at this gourmet restaurant will remain truly exceptional, and I highly recommend it.

The setting was idyllic, but it didn't live up to my expectations... This establishment has lost its reputation. The food was good, but not up to the standards of a fine dining restaurant, and the service was far from what I'd hoped for compared to other similar establishments. It's a shame; I was expecting something more...

A truly exceptional setting, but an experience that, unfortunately, didn't win me over. The location is undoubtedly the main asset of Les Pins Penchés: the setting, the view, and the surroundings are magnificent and immediately convey an impression of prestige. However, I found the cuisine rather disappointing considering the establishment's positioning. The dishes are decent, but the tastes and flavors ultimately remain quite conventional, without any real distinguishing features or particular surprises. The service, too, struck me as very ordinary and, above all, out of step with the price point. Several details unfortunately contribute to this impression: plastic glasses for the cocktail, napkins that appeared to have already been used left on some tables, and a lack of cohesion among the different members of the staff. Taken individually, these elements might seem anecdotal, but in an establishment that charges such prices, they become particularly noticeable. It is precisely the value for money that I find problematic. The prices are very high, even compared to Michelin-starred restaurants in the region, yet neither the food nor the service seemed to reach that level of excellence. In short: an absolutely stunning setting, but an overall experience that doesn't seem to justify the prices. At this price point, I expected more finesse, creativity, and above all, attention to detail.

Beautiful exterior setting, interior a bit dated, staff not speaking French well, sometimes difficult to understand, menu very good
