What can I say? A warm, family atmosphere, a truly exceptional welcome. The decor is timeless, yet it transports you back to your grandparents' house and good old family traditions. The fries are homemade, and the meals are hearty and delicious. Your taste buds will be begging for more. I highly recommend you rush there to eat; you'll leave with a smile and a full stomach. Everything was perfect, the ambiance and atmosphere were spot on, a little haven straight out of the north. The service was impeccable, with a good dose of humor and cheerfulness. And I thoroughly enjoyed myself! A wonderful discovery. A local gem to know!

A nice little restaurant in the center of Montargis, with reasonable prices and quick service in my experience. They offer a few dishes from the North of France, but it would be even better if there were more 🙂

Simple but very good homemade dishes with very original room decor!

Passing through Montargis, we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and we're so glad we did. The moment we stepped inside, we were transported to a world of vintage finds, where every object evoked a cherished childhood memory. We were greeted by a charming and smiling woman, despite her recent start. It was a welcome change from the usual grumpy waitresses who seemed to wear a sour face from the first course to dessert. Then came the reason we were there: lunch. We began with a surprising yet delicious starter: floating island on a bed of goat's cream. Irresistibly delicate, it whetted our appetites while leaving room for the rest of the meal. There were four of us, and we chose the puff pastry with carbonnade for one, the Welsh rarebit for another, and the chef's beef burger with chuck roast for the other two. We all unanimously raved about it; it was absolutely delicious. The desserts and the gourmet coffee were equally delightful, especially the chicory crème brûlée, which we could easily have had a second helping. A visit to the restrooms was amusing, with all the newspaper clippings from the 1930s pasted on the wall, almost tempting us to linger a little longer to read them. Finally, the bill for a meal with a beer was quite reasonable for such a delicious meal: €30 per person. No complaints whatsoever. One thing is for sure: if we ever return to Montargis or recommend it to friends visiting, this will be OUR restaurant to explore the rest of the menu.

What a pleasant surprise! Delicious food, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. We were a group of four friends and each ordered different dishes. From appetizers to desserts, everyone loved everything, with a special mention for me for the chuck steak burger. The fries were also fabulous... in short, I highly recommend it.

Excellent homemade food. The setting and decor are lovely, as are the owner and his team. From classic dishes to northern specialties, you won't be disappointed. In short, I highly recommend it!
