As my son said, "It's a shame we can't give six stars." The telephone reception for booking was very pleasant, the welcome in person very warm, the food excellent, made with good ingredients, and even though I was the only one cooking and serving, we never had to wait between courses. Thank you so much for your hospitality. A sixth star from the Five Star Club 😉

Arriving at noon and having a 1:30 p.m. appointment, despite reservations, the restaurant owner told us to come. A warm welcome, delicious meal, the veal stew (my mom's recipe) was delicious. Congratulations to the owner, who was alone, for the welcome and service. The price was more than affordable: 15 euros for starters, main course, dessert. On Sundays, roast suckling pig.
If you're passing through Montcontour, a pretty medieval village, this restaurant is not to be missed, but remember to make a reservation.
