Located on the route over the Colle de Mont Cenis, at a fairly high altitude. Good cappuccino, and a portion of fries as a snack!

A one-night stopover on August 1, 2026. A very nice hotel by the roadside with a lake view. Dinner was very good, and breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly. The room and bathroom were very clean.

A stop we won't forget on our Little Happiness Trail 💛 We spent the night and had dinner at the Hôtel Restaurant Les Roches Blanches, on the shores of Lake Mont-Cenis, and sometimes you don't need luxury or anything complicated to experience truly wonderful moments. Here, everything is simple, generous, and genuine, just like the warm welcome. Incredible kindness, a genuine pleasure in hosting, and that feeling of immediate comfort. In the evening, the setting is already magnificent… but waking up will likely remain one of our most cherished memories of the trip. Stepping out in the morning and feeling almost like we're alone in the world, facing Lake Mont-Cenis, in absolute tranquility, surrounded by mountains… magical. And after our day of hiking, we also thoroughly enjoyed dinner: generous and comforting cuisine, including delicious gnocchi with morels and chicken. Exactly the kind of meal you dream of after several hours on the trails. 😍 A wonderful encounter, an unpretentious place with a huge heart, and above all, an exceptional location. 📖 Les Roches Blanches will definitely be featured in our "Detours" guide dedicated to the "Path of Little Happiness" and the Haute-Maurienne valley, among the truly tried-and-tested addresses we want to share. If you're passing through the Mont-Cenis lake area, whether to eat, stay overnight, or simply enjoy a timeless escape, keep this address in mind. ❤️

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel. The setting is magnificent. The welcome was excellent, but the breakfast was a bit basic. The room was spotless with a magnificent view of the lake.

Friendly owners, delicious food, beautiful location

A warm and welcoming atmosphere prevails, with a refuge-like feel (shared but impeccably clean restrooms) and all the comforts of a hotel. The staff are very friendly, the meals are excellent, all homemade and generous, offering unbeatable value for money. The icing on the cake: the lake view and immediate access on foot. I highly recommend it!

Stunning view from our room overlooking the lake and marmots at the summit of the Mont Cenis pass. Simple room with a small bathtub. 2 shared toilets on the landing. Good breakfasts. Simple, hearty meals. Half-board at €32, very affordable. Ideal location for hiking. Very friendly staff and owner.

Great location off-season for motorcycling to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains and the view. And above all, a warm and cheerful welcome from our host.

We had a wonderful stay! Simple furnishings, a small bathroom with a sink and bathtub in the room, and a toilet in the hallway. Everything was exactly as described to us: simple, but spotlessly clean. Dinner consisted of four courses and was delicious. Tanja, who served us, was attentive, very friendly, and always managed to overcome our language barrier. She and David recently took over the small hotel, and they both go to incredible lengths to ensure their guests are happy. Charming, friendly, cheerful, and motivated. We would definitely stay there again!
