Average dishes for a higher end restaurant, lacking the special touches that could lift it to the imaginative levels you would expect nowadays. Say in comparison to the brilliant, inspired cooking we experienced at the local L’Aubergeade.
Little choice on the menu. Our crab starters were beautifully presented , if a little lacking in flavour, that perhaps more seasoning, or a stock reduction could have added. Again my fish, the Corsican one that currently appears to be swimming throughout France, is overcooked and chewy. My wife’s lamb was tender and tasty , with a good jus. Her dessert of pavlova was excellent, and yet again l missed out, my profiteroles being ice cold and smothered in chocolate.
The service was slick, and efficient, with possibly too much attention on this , rather than taking a little more time on the actual dishes. The good wine list certainly helps elevate the experience
On aime visiter la France et trouver ce genre de pépite.

Une patronne qui tient son équipe en salle et n hésite pas a aider ses serveuses .félicitations au chef, pour sa cuisine. Notre petite fille aurait bien léchée son assiette.
