A very cute little chocolate museum in a suburb of Strasbourg. Unfortunately, all the workshops are in French, so we also booked a tasting at the restaurant. In hindsight, that wasn't really necessary. At the museum, we were able to sample various types of chocolate, pralines, and small chocolate candies. After that, we had absolutely no desire for cake or waffles. There's also a great shop there.

Far from our expectations. The afternoon tea buffet was very disappointing; the cakes were dry and the selection limited.
Workshop 3/5
Museum 1/5
Price not justified

Having booked our tickets, we decided to treat ourselves to a tour followed by a tasting.
Upon arrival, we found an adjacent parking lot with ample space for visitors. Right at the entrance, we came across the well-stocked gift shop and the ticket counter. After checking, we were told the tour could begin. The tour started with several screens (unfortunately, no one was there to guide us), and headphones that, in my opinion, should be cleaned regularly, since every visitor uses them to listen to the videos, even though subtitles are available on the screen. After a few small rooms, we arrived in a larger room where some employees demonstrated the making of chocolate pieces, offering explanations if we wished. This room still had screens and videos with headphones and subtitles. I think this is what made me lose interest in this "tour"—too many screens. A guide would have been more helpful for asking questions and interacting, because given the number of visitors during our visit, the few employees quickly became unapproachable once approached by others. Someone then gathered us for a short presentation, which interested all the visitors present. It was brief but engaging, adding a positive dimension to the tour, which ends very quickly if you take the time to read and listen to the videos. I think it takes about an hour, but the tour is over in 20-30 minutes. It's a real shame; you spend more time there than watching screens and reading texts, and tasting a few jars of different chocolates. Next came the all-you-can-eat buffet. Another disappointment. There were a few slices of cake, small waffles (dry, unfortunately), six flavors of ice cream, whole fruits (not ideal for skewers with the chocolate fountain), mini marshmallows (difficult to spear), a few dessert glasses, fruit salad, doughnuts, and a water fountain which, having tasted it, I found rather off-putting; the water had a very unpleasant taste. The prices of drinks, excluding water (which was free), were a bit excessive. A sign at the entrance indicated a price of €4.50 for hot chocolate, but when I went to the counter to pay, I was charged €5.50. The buffet was too small and didn't reflect the spirit of discovering chocolate; one expects to discover flavors unfamiliar to the palate. A shame, once again.
The entire staff is welcoming and pleasant to visitors, which I think is its strongest point. The shop is appealing, although some prices, despite the homemade aspect, are a bit excessive. Worth a visit once.
There's definitely room for improvement in this concept of a visit and buffet.

We booked a visit to the museum and the all-you-can-eat sugar buffet.
You can easily see the museum in an hour.
You can even sample some chocolate there.
Afterwards, we sampled all sorts of things at the buffet.
Only drinks were extra, which is normal.
The price was reasonable for what you get.
Afterward, we bought some chocolate at the shop.
Perfect for a day with kids or on a rainy day, like ours.

A magical experience where you can see how cocoa beans are transformed into the finest chocolate. Don't miss the museum, where you can learn about dozens of aromas! A truly sublime experience.

We received a very warm welcome during our visit to the Chocolate Museum in Geispolsheim. From the moment you arrive, the exterior is well-maintained, modern, and easily accessible, with a pleasant atmosphere that immediately invites you inside.
Inside, the shop is impeccable: extremely clean, well-organized, and bright. The displays are clear and perfectly showcase a wide variety of chocolates, offered in many forms: bars, molded chocolates, assortments, confectionery… there’s something for everyone.
The layout is enjoyable and allows you to discover chocolate from different perspectives, making the visit both delicious and informative.
At the checkout, the cashier is friendly, helpful, and professional, which further enhances the positive experience. You can buy chocolate individually or by the kilo, with attractive promotions on certain products nearing their expiration date—an excellent opportunity to treat yourself at a great price without compromising on quality. A visit we highly recommend, as much for the quality of the welcome and the exemplary cleanliness as for the richness and variety of chocolates on offer.
A truly delightful experience for chocolate lovers.

I was there on Sunday, January 18, 2026, to surprise my daughter for her birthday. I bought tickets through their website with a package that included an afternoon snack, a museum visit, and making a chocolate bar. We started with the afternoon snack. At €15, I was pleasantly surprised, considering the price was around €9. There were some incredibly original and Alsatian treats. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. It was delicious, and the chocolate theme was definitely there. Special mention goes to the mulled wine cake and the mini kougelhopf. There's a chocolate fountain and even ice cream. It was amazing to go, even without a museum visit. Then came the activity we loved: making a chocolate bar. It was fantastic as a family; we really reconnected and had a great laugh. My teenagers loved it, so there are chairs specifically for toddlers, catering to all ages. The self-guided museum visit is as much a visual experience as an olfactory one, and you get an explanation with a demonstration. In short, the price is more than reasonable; it's truly a great family activity. And I'd like to give a special mention to the staff, who are very friendly and always smiling, especially the young man who took the time to explain everything to us. Areas for improvement include a little more heating and opening hours for older families to enjoy afternoon tea after 3 pm.
