Les Terrasses du Beffroi / Restaurant la Fontaine sur Vaison-La-Romaine

With so few recent reviews we booked this with a little worry but totally unfounded. We took the car up a trepidous road to the medieval area of Vaison la Romaine and somehow managed to park with the guidance of two staff from the hotel ( we should have walked!). Once in the hotel we were greeted with friendliness and hospitality and went out to the terrace. Think old world Provence, views over the town, sunsets, belfry towers, old clocks, dappled shade, discreet lighting, apple trees...little tables dotted around a lovely courtyard. The menu limited but perfect, the staff helpful, friendly, guiding, discreet. Despite a large group also dining we were served in a timely manner, not rushed, not waiting too long. Fabulous food, very good value wine list. Would come again in a heart beat.
