While many are already familiar with this restaurant, which was once a highly regarded fine-dining establishment, we spoke with the chef, who confided that he was looking for a new adventure! What a wonderful discovery! We've been coming to Villard every summer for the past four years and completely missed this excellent restaurant. We were initially put off by the lack of a children's menu, but what a mistake that turned out to be! The cuisine is refined, even gourmet, for the same price as the surrounding crêperies! The pasta dishes are reinvented and superb; our 9-year-old daughter loved the pesto pasta and wants to go back for the Bolognese. The chef comes to introduce himself and explain his cuisine, which is a very pleasant and surprisingly good touch, especially considering the affordable prices. The welcome is warm and friendly, and the food is excellent. I had the prawn pasta, which was a real treat! The desserts are also very good. My bill came to €58 for three courses and three delicious desserts—it was definitely worth it. We'll be back! 🙂
