23/08/2026: A very good music bar; the live music performances are regular and much appreciated (starting at 8:30 pm). The bar also offers two lounges with board games (reservations are recommended to guarantee a spot). The cocktails are excellent, the staff very friendly, and the place very charming. The sofas, however, aren't very comfortable. The bar's dog is very handsome and cute, so we'll overlook that.

21/08/2026: The music was quite pleasant. The staff were friendly. However, the food wasn't great; the dishes described as spicy and aromatic weren't. The food was bland. The menu might make you dream, but the dishes served were bland and greasy. Poor value for money.

30/06/2026: What a great find! Passing through at the end of my motorcycle road trip, I truly enjoyed everything here. The location, quite secluded in Bois Barbu, is peaceful and perfect for relaxing. I love the layout of both the grounds and the inn itself. My room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The comfort is definitely appreciated. The half-board meals are home-cooked, prepared with quality ingredients. The dishes are appetizing and delicious. A garage is available for bicycles and motorcycles, which is a nice touch. A place to definitely remember in the area!

30/06/2026: What a pleasure it was to stay at the Auberge des Montauds! We received a warm, welcoming, and friendly reception that immediately made us feel at home. Located above Villard-de-Lans, the inn offers a peaceful setting in the heart of nature. If you're looking for tranquility, greenery, and a real breath of fresh air, you'll be delighted. It's also a little paradise for motorcyclists. Our room, while modest in size, was very comfortable and perfectly suited to our stay. We also greatly appreciated the shaded terrace, ideal for enjoying the excellent half-board meals, which were generous and carefully prepared. Breakfast was equally delicious, varied, and plentiful—the perfect way to start the day. A big thank you to the entire team for their kindness and hospitality. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and will gladly return to continue exploring this magnificent region. Brigitte & Serge

24/08/2026: A lovely evening at La Bergerie restaurant! The menu featured local and Drôme specialties. The Tartibleu dish exceeded all our expectations! The staff were very welcoming, and the service was pleasant and efficient. The decor was beautiful, with a covered back terrace, so we weren't cold at all in the evening. Reservations are essential.

23/08/2026: Quite disappointed... I came about ten years ago and it was much better then. The welcome was very mediocre; we had a reservation and were seated five of us at a table meant for four. The tables on the terrace are incredibly close together; we could have eaten from our neighbors' plates, no exaggeration. Safety was completely lacking (an emergency exit has a maximum capacity of 50 people, and we were more than that). The person who seated us didn't explain the menus, while the other servers were doing so for other tables. The menu is far too extensive; it took me a while to figure it out. In the end, the ingredients were decent, but the cooking was nothing exceptional, making for an expensive large salad. Zero value for money. In short, we won't be back.

23/06/2026: The host is a good chef and a excellent gardener, the dinner was perfect. If he puts in the same effort he pours into his food and vegetable garden into the rest of the hotel it will be a legendary place! And they will both be very busy! Merci.

Mark's cooking is truly excellent: a touch of Sardinia, a hint of the Ardèche, a dash of England, not to mention the regional specialties… All fresh ingredients, you'll be spoiled for choice! And above all, Marianica's warm welcome is priceless! A fantastic evening! Try it without hesitation!

04/09/2026: Mylittleterroir is well worth a visit. The cuisine is exceptional. Each dish tells a story, and each dish conveys a message. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The owner shares her passion for her craft. The chef, who is also in the kitchen, prepares each dish with dedication. We highly recommend this restaurant. 02/04/2026: Looking for a 4-day solo getaway without a car at the end of March, I found the perfect hotel: - very well located: all shops, cinema, and bus station are less than a 5-minute walk away; hiking trails start from a 10-minute walk. - half-board or full-board options available (perfect after hiking); - simple hotel and rooms (hence the attractive price) but it has everything you need; - the best part: attentive owners and a friendly, family atmosphere

08/03/2026: What a delightful surprise this charming restaurant was, tucked away in a rather dreary cul-de-sac! The welcome is cheerful and warm, the decor a clever, slightly kitschy blend of seaside and mountain themes, and the lighting is perfectly balanced to allow you to admire what's arriving on your plate. The menu is extensive, inventive, and promising. This is confirmed when the dishes are served: everything is fresh, beautiful, flavorful, and served without delay. We enjoyed the langoustines and the confit lamb in a pastry crust, which we chose as starters (both generous portions), and then we savored the hake with sorrel and confit potatoes, as well as the fish quenelle with shellfish jus. The desserts are excellent, with a special mention for the caramelized apples and meringue, a reimagined version of the common floating island found elsewhere. Very reasonable prices again (76 euros for two, starter-main-dessert plus two half-pints of Leffe) when compared to what the other tourist trap restaurants in Villard dare to charge for over-prepared and soulless food. An original and welcoming place that makes you want to return very soon with friends! Thank you, Mr. Charentais. 😊

12/01/2026: What a delight this little restaurant is! Finally, something other than "mountain" fare. Everything was new to us: lamb confit with morels in a pastry crust, oysters and scallops with parsley sauce, suckling pig offal stew, Charentais-style chowder, mashed potatoes with cabbage... A true delight, and served with a smile, too! Good value for money. Highly recommended!

17/05/2026: A lovely hotel in a great location (5 minutes from the center). Alexandre provided an excellent welcome and helpful recommendations; he's also a master of scrambled eggs. Breakfast is excellent, and the sauna and hammam are a real bonus. I highly recommend it! :-)

21/04/2026: We booked a room for two people from April 11th to 12th through Booking.com for €136.85, without breakfast, but we ended up with a single room for €85. It seems to us that management could have offered a discount on breakfast! What a shame...

31/07/2026: Very disappointed with dinner. The so-called homemade foie gras was incredibly salty. The grilled beef fillet dish came with a carrot and two new potatoes… and a frozen rum baba. Sorry, I work in a big city and I'm in a 5-star restaurant. You'd be better off opening a McDonald's.

18/07/2026: It's always a pleasure to come to this restaurant! I've been several times and I've never been disappointed. The food is delicious, full of flavor, with a real attention to detail. A big thank you to the owner, who manages everything single-handedly with great professionalism. He's welcoming, smiling, attentive, and always takes the time to chat with his customers. You really feel at home there. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation!
