L'Escale sur Peyrat-Le-Chateau

I ate there with my partner on September 1st. The drinks were excellent (they have an amazing iced chocolate, and they serve Guinness on tap), and the dishes were expertly prepared. The flank steak was rare as requested (and perfectly cooked), the roast pork was caramelized, and the sides were perfect (potato gratin and seasonal vegetables). And to top it all off, the ice cream sundaes were made with truly flavorful ice cream. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff was incredibly attentive. I think this establishment is the victim of a smear campaign, because I absolutely do not share the negative opinions expressed by other accounts. My sincere congratulations to the managers and employees for the quality of their work, and my full support against the multitude of disparaging comments of recent weeks. Excellent restaurant, refined cuisine, and very professional staff. We enjoyed the view of the lake and took walks in the surrounding area. We will definitely return!

Excellent value for money. Generous portions. The waitress was very friendly. The setting is beautiful, even though the lake level is very low this year.

I didn't stay there long enough, just to cool off with friends.

Disappointing… You're clearly paying for the setting and the lake view, but the quality of the food is very disappointing…

We received a very warm welcome, the food was delicious, we played darts, and we went pedal boating. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

A warm welcome, quick and friendly staff, a beautifully presented and perfectly served menu. And to top it all off, a great atmosphere with a lovely view of the lake. Highly recommended.
