We discovered this restaurant by chance on a Friday evening. The restaurant doesn't have a large dining room, but the atmosphere is very nice. I had a classic Angus steak, which was excellent, and my companion had a chicken supreme, which was also excellent. Our server was very pleasant as well. We had a very good evening!

I've been to L'Escalier restaurant in Metz several times and have always had a great meal. The portions are generous and high-quality; you're never disappointed.
The atmosphere is friendly, and the terrace is really lovely in the summer 🌞 — it's definitely a major plus for the restaurant.
The service is decent, although it can sometimes vary depending on how busy it is. All in all, it's a good place that I recommend.

Everything was perfect: the portions, the melt-in-your-mouth meat, the sauce, the unlimited homemade fries, and the delicious homemade desserts. There were three of us, and we'll gladly return. The waitress took excellent care of us from beginning to end. A truly excellent place!

Very, very nice... Saturday lunchtime.
A little bistro just the way we like them.
It's lively and very pleasant.
We loved it. A simple menu, fresh ingredients... nice little wines by the glass. A must-try, and we'll definitely be back.

Once inside, you understand the restaurant's name. The welcome was excellent, as was the service. We had an Angus steak and a salmon, both cooked perfectly, and the homemade fries were fantastic. The only issue was that the dishes were served lukewarm, barely warm; we hesitated to ask for them to be reheated. The same was true inside the restaurant; it wasn't very hot, but it's true that we were sitting behind the entrance door, and despite a thick curtain, nothing was too hot.

The specialty: thinly sliced Angus beef with Café de Paris sauce, absolutely divine!!! Can't wait to try the other versions on my next visit!
