L'Escalier sur Metz

I had lunch here and met Yannis the chef who recommended an Angus beef which was superbly accompanied by his new maître d'hôtel sauce and cooked as requested. I recommend it. I had a great time, thanks to the whole team.

The service was a bit rushed. It had to be fast. The wrong drink was delivered first, but it was quickly corrected. Loud surroundings, but the atmosphere was pleasant. The carpaccio was good, but there was too much balsamic vinegar on it. Keep it simple.

A great place in the center of Metz. Good food, terrace on a pedestrian street, friendly staff.

I love this restaurant, which I've been to several times now. The meat is very good, cooked perfectly, and the Angus with secret sauce is delicious! Unfortunately, I have to subtract two stars from my rating because every time I've been there, I've found the waitresses to be less than friendly and not particularly pleasant. Sometimes, you even feel like you're bothering them a little (note that we're not complainers at all, quite the opposite)! And it's not for lack of trying to make them laugh ;) This comment doesn't concern one of the little brunette waitresses I've had the opportunity to meet several times, who is truly wonderful! I don't know her first name, but I strongly encourage her to continue doing so. She's the only one who seems happy to be there, by the way.

Very welcoming, friendly, attentive waitress, great meal... I had salmon, I could choose the cooking method, which was excellent, with very, very good homemade fries, and all you can eat. Thanks to the chef and his entire team.

Super friendly restaurant. The service is super friendly, and their homemade desserts are delicious. I highly recommend it! Big thumbs up to the young waitress on the first floor tonight for a wonderful welcome!

Chosen by chance because in Metz on Sundays almost everything is closed. I took the chicken with mushrooms... Very good, well spiced and above all cooked to perfection. The fries were very good and there are plenty of them.

Alice's smile and warm welcome are a rarity in a business world where relationships are given very little consideration. Very, very much appreciated and very, very much appreciated.
