L'escalier gourmand sur Pornic

While passing through Pornic we had lunch at L'ESCALIER GOURMAND, VERY GOOD meal, polite and smiling waiter. BUT the person at reception is cold, not smiling and we have the feeling of bothering him.

Nice restaurant, in the street of good restaurants, a priori. Small room, not too much noise. A varied menu, good homemade products. I loved the samosas! I would have had a glass of wine, but not Bordeaux or Médoc by the glass, too bad. The price seemed appropriate to me. Further visits are required to explore the map.

we discovered it by chance and it was the highlight of the visit to Pornic. Excellent lunch menu, very friendly service, the children also really liked the food.

While passing through Pornic, we went to this restaurant which accepted a box which had been offered to us. We were very well received and served by the waiter. The dishes ordered were delicious. Very good value for money . We recommend 🤗

We had lunch there on a Sunday by booking with a box. The room is small with a nice decoration. The tables are close to each other but this allowed us to chat with our neighbors. We chose a seafood couscous then profiteroles for Mr and a salted butter caramel crepe for me. All accompanied by a small aperitif and a glass of white wine. Fortunately we didn't have an entry! The dish is substantial. The desserts are great too! Our table neighbors also really appreciated their dishes! (Snails with pastis, semi-cooked tuna with celery puree, filet mignon). The plates are very well prepared. Very friendly servers. The box is deducted from the total price which allows you to take what you want from the menu. Be careful as its name suggests, the restaurant is located on a staircase and therefore not accessible to wheelchairs. Steps inside as well. And no nearby parking lots. In short, I recommend and we will surely come back!😁😋

Welcoming and very pleasant place Simplicity, excellent meal

Small, intimate restaurant with nice decor, homemade and refined cuisine, sense of service… Everything is very good there! I recommend it twice rather than once. I don't understand the grumpy people, who constantly quibble about yes or no (especially don't trust their comments)! Bon appetit to customers who know how to appreciate it.

Problem with a Wonderbox of 60 euros which in the end does not go beyond 49.90.... We got a reduction on our final bill but it's a bit of a shame. Other than that the meal was very good.
