The best experience of Poitier. Finally staff that knows how to serve correctly at the table. We were plesantly surprised by the appitizers (2×) and friandises at the desert. Royal portions. The vegatarian dish could be made a little more in balance, but quality was good. Excellent main course, and finally deserts that were a real treat. Well done!

Certainly one of the best restaurants I have ever been to.
Professionalism and kindness in the welcome and the service, accuracy in the dishes and quality cuisine. Quiet places and tasteful decor.

A very friendly, attentive and helpful welcome, L'Essentiel is a restaurant which offers an enticing menu with promises kept. We spent an unforgettable evening in a charming setting with family. An address that we are very happy to remember for a future visit to Poitiers. Even our Maltese got his water bowl without asking!! I warmly recommend!! Thanks to the whole team and good luck!

Meal for lunch, the daily menu was excellent.
Very disappointed with the cuisine in the evening because the prices are really higher, especially à la carte. And I think that these dishes are not at the level of the prices charged.

Very nice discovery, beautiful dishes, very good and plentiful. Lunch menu at €28 for an appetizer, starter, main course and dessert, offered even on weekends, which is rare. We had salmon rillettes as a starter, medallion of julienne/orange risotto and poached pear and veal spider/potatoes from the Ile de Ré as a main course and to finish with chocolate mousse and exotic fruit mousse with strawberries and bananas. Efficient and discreet service. A little long preparation in the kitchen, you have to know how to take your time and not want to have lunch in 30 minutes.

Dîner en famille , lors de notre réservation nous avons apprécié d être avertis quant à la fermeture du parking de Gaulle..Pour le reste , de l apéritif au dessert tout est délicieux..L accueil et le service sont également de haute volée..Bref , nous reviendrons encore car ici nous n avons jamais été déçus. Nous conseillons les yeux fermés.
