L'Estancot sur Vienne

We really enjoyed our meal here. All the dishes were prepared beautifully and were full of flavour and not too salty. We almost felt we were having two meals in one as the potato cakes were almost a meal in themselves, and their accompanying mains were equally delicious. We only had entree and main courses and couldn’t have had any more food. Excellent wine list, with some good local suggestions. We had a local Syrah which was excellent value. Super friendly service. It was a quiet Thursday evening and we had a lovely chat with the lady who was front of house (half in English, half in French but we understood each other!).

Finally a restaurant worthy of the name, traditional cuisine, a delight that I recommend. We live 450km away and go back whenever we can, even if it means making a big detour.

A good little restaurant with a specialty of cove (egg and parsley potato pancake) enhanced in several variations and wines from the Rhône valley. Well done.

Good restaurant, the cuisine is very good with fresh produce. The boss knows her job well, a true professional, the setting is pretty and clean, well done, we will come back

Très bon accueil, la carte est variée et propose des criques végétariennes, ce qui est très appréciable quand on ne mange ni viande ni poisson. Les portions sont très généreuses. S’il fallait émettre des réserves, ce serait au niveau de la vinaigrette qui malheureusement n’est pas maison et les criques un peu grasses à mon avis. Sinon dans sa globalité c’est un bon compromis.
