L'Estrade Bar Restaurant sur Saint-Etienne

A pleasant cafe opposite the Train station. My wife and I stopped here for a meal which was perfectly adequate. The issue arose when it came to paying. A bill was presented for just over 50 Euros, I asked the waiter if this included service and he indicated that it did not and said "17.5%". i assumed he added this on and presented my card. It wasn't until later that I realized he added 15 Euros (30%) and service was actually included all along. I feel like I've been scammed. This was on the evening of 28th August

Excellent brasserie right across from the Gare de l'Est train station. Despite being very busy, the service is always friendly. Good beers, good traditional dishes.

Fantastic restaurant. Not only did we thoroughly enjoy the homemade dishes, but the service was also excellent: quick enough to catch our train, and the waiters and waitresses were all smiling, attentive, and very friendly. It's a pleasure to have such a great time! 🤗

We've come to this café several times while waiting for our train, and each time we're pleasantly surprised by the kindness, helpfulness, and cheerfulness of the staff. Today they even changed my daughter's order at the last minute. They're flexible, accommodating, and always have a smile on their face. We highly recommend them!

This brasserie is very nice, the service is fast and the waitress is very efficient and helpful.

A café directly opposite the train station. We had a small green salad, which was tasty. Prices were okay. The service was friendly, but they expected payment as soon as you finished eating. It left a bad taste in my mouth. It was a good place to kill time while waiting for the train. The restrooms were so-so.

I wanted to try the homemade fries and, to my surprise, they were really delicious. It's a convenient place to take a quick break while waiting for your train. I recommend it!

Traditional Brasserie opposite the Gare de l’Est. Stopped for a quick lunch time snack. The waiter asked if we were eating lunch, and we were handed the lunch menu. The Manager took our order and was “devastated” that we weren’t eating four main course dishes. The food came relatively quickly, but was fairly average. French Onion soup was watery and lacked flavour. Not worth the price.
